Burial Information for Pvt. James Davenport , Company G, 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was mustered into service on September 1st 1861. He died while in Service on August 1st 1862. He was buried at Philanthropic Cemetery in Philadelphia but was removed to Woodlands Cemetery on October 17th 1865. He is Buried there in Section F, Lot 51, Grave 1.
Burial Information for Captain James Doak Jr. , Company O, 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was mustered into service on September 4th 1861, transfered to the 61st PA, Company H in March of 1862. He mustered out of Service on July 13th 1865.Henry Died on April 3rd 1900. He is buried at Northwood Cemetery, Philadelphia in Section Woodlawn, Grave 218, Grave 1.
Burial Information for Private James G. Obourn Jr. Company B, 23rd Penna. Vols, Three Month Volunteer. He was mustered into service on April 31st 1861 and mustered out on July 31st 1861. He is buried at Ardsley Burial Park (Hillside)in Rockledge PA in Sectionelm Lawn, Lot 275, Grave 1.
Burial Information for Gen. James Gwyn 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers,Company F. He was mustered in on August 2nd 1861. Resigned on July 22nd 1862 to accept Lt. Col. of 118th PA. Breveted Brig. General on June 1st 1865. wounded in the Battle of the Wilderness on May 5th 1864. He died on July 17th 1906 in New York City. He is buried at Woodlands Cemetery in Philadelphia, in Section E, Lot 33 Grave 2.
Burial Information for Pvt. James Hamilton 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers, Company F,. James was drafted on August 10th 1863. At the Battle of Cold Harbor on June 1st 1864, he was shot and seriously wounded. He died as a result of those wounds on August 31st 1864. He is Buried at Philadelphia National Cemetery in Section B, Grave 410.
