This is the 1890 Burlington County,NJ Surviving soldiers Census Record for Charles McKim, Company K, 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers, "Birney's Zouaves". He is buried at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Burlington NJ in Section I, Lot 58, Grave 4.
This is the 1890 Virginia Census Record for George Lindsay, Musician, 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers, "Birney's Zouaves" . He was mustered into Service at The Skuykill Arsenal on August 8th 1861 and placed in Company E. He was mustered out with the Company on September 8th 1864. Transfered to 82nd Pennsylvania. Mustered out of the 82nd Pennsylvania on July 13th 1865 a Vet.
This is the 1890 Virginia Census Record for George Pilkinton, Company G, 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers, "Birney's Zouaves", Three Month Volunteers . He was mustered into Service at The Skuykill Arsenal on April 21st 1861 and placed in Company G. He was mustered out with the Company on July 31st 1861.
This is the 1920 Pennsylvania Census Record for William Schutretter, Company A, 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers, "Birney's Zouaves" . At the Time he and his wife were renting a house in Table Rock, PA, two years later they would purchase a home in Gettysburg.
This is the 1890 Virginia Census Record for Belford Simkins, Company E, 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers, "Birney's Zouaves" . He was mustered into Service at The Skuykill Arsenal on August 14th 1861 and placed in Company E. He was mustered out with the Company on September 8th 1864.
