He was captured at Stone Mountain inSeptember 1863 and sent to Danville, VA. He escaped and was mustered out with the regiment on September 8th 1864. |

| Pvt. William Maguire of Company C 23rd PA. He was mustered in on August 2nd 1861 at the arsenal in Philadelphia. He was wounded at Cold Harbor and captured on June 1st 1864. He was sent to Libby Prison and died there as a result of his wounds.

| Sgt. William H. Myers of Company I 23rd PA. He was mustered in on September 4th 1861 at the arsenal in Philadelphia. He was wounded at Marye's Heights on May 3rd 1863. transfered to the 82nd PA on September 8th 1864 and promoted to 2nd Lt. He was killed just three days before the war ended at Sailors Creek on April 6th 1865.
