Musician William Thomas of Company C. He was born in 1840 , Died in 1893. Buried at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Philadelphia. Mustered into service on September 1 1861. He was captured at Stone Mountain inSeptember 1863 and sent to Danville, VA. He escaped and was mustered out with the regiment on September 8th 1864.
Photo of Sgt. William R Little of Company c 23rd PA. He was mustered in on August 2nd 1861 at the arsenal in Philadelphia. He was wounded at Cold Harbor on June 1st 1864. He was promoted to Sgt. on June 18th 1864 and mustered out with the company on September 8th 1864.
Pvt. William Maguire of Company C 23rd PA. He was mustered in on August 2nd 1861 at the arsenal in Philadelphia. He was wounded at Cold Harbor and captured on June 1st 1864. He was sent to Libby Prison and died there as a result of his wounds.
Pvt. William Linton of Company H 23rd PA. He was mustered in on September 1st 1861 at the arsenal in Philadelphia. He was killed at Fair Oaks on May 31st 1862. We have yet to find his gravesite.
Pvt. William Johnson of Company E 23rd PA. He was mustered in on August 14th 1861 at the arsenal in Philadelphia. He was killed at Cold Harbor on June 1st 1864. We have yet to find his gravesite.
Sgt. William H. Myers of Company I 23rd PA. He was mustered in on September 4th 1861 at the arsenal in Philadelphia. He was wounded at Marye's Heights on May 3rd 1863. transfered to the 82nd PA on September 8th 1864 and promoted to 2nd Lt. He was killed just three days before the war ended at Sailors Creek on April 6th 1865.
