| Grave of Private William B. Michael, Company H, 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers. William was born in Philadelphia in 1842. He was mustered into service on August 6th 1861. In September he moved with the Regiment to Washington D.C. for the defences of the Capital against possible Rebel Invasion. The 23rd was encamped at "The Queen Farm" owned by Jacob Queen and they made Camp Graham thier home. Typhoid Fever broke out in November and December of 61 and over fifty men of the unit died forcing them to move to higher ground near Bladensburg, MD. There they established Camp Clark . He was wounded at the Battle of Fair Oaks on May 31st 1862. He was discharged on a Surgeons Certificate on August 12th 1862. He died in 1906 and is Buried at Mt Moriah Cemetery in Philadelphia in Section 127, Lot 42 Grave NW in the Michael Plot with his Brother Thomas who was also in the Same Company.

| The Grave of Private Robert C. Hilsee of the 23rd Pennsylvania Infantry, Company G. He was mustered into service on August 24th 1861. In September he moved with the Regiment to Washington D.C. for the defences of the Capital against possible Rebel Invasion. The 23rd was encamped at "The Queen Farm" owned by Jacob Queen and they made Camp Graham thier home. Typhoid Fever broke out in November and December of 61 and over fifty men of the unit died forcing them to move to higher ground near Bladensburg, MD. There they established Camp Clark .Robert died on August 18th 1890. He escaped the War unharmed mustered out on September 8th 1864 and returned to Philadelphia. He is buried at Westminster Cemetery in Section Delta.

| Grave of Corporal William Bartley, Company A, 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was mustered into Service on August 8th 1861. In September he moved with the Regiment to Washington D.C. for the defences of the Capital against possible Rebel Invasion. The 23rd was encamped at "The Queen Farm" owned by Jacob Queen and they made Camp Graham thier home. Typhoid Fever broke out in November and December of 61 and over fifty men of the unit died forcing them to move to higher ground near Bladensburg, MD. There they established Camp Clark . He was transfered to the 82nd Pennsylvania in 1864 and mustered out with the Company on July 13th 1865. After the War he joined the Masonic Lodge and became a Master Mason. He died on October 14th 1902 and is buried at Fernwood Cemetery in Landsdowne,PA in Section 33, Lot 75, Grave Center. His grave is across the street from the Grave of Congressional Medal of Honor Winner, Joseph Fisher of the 23rd/61st PA Volunteers.

| Grave of Lieut.-Col. Thomas Say Martin.he got his start as the captain of Company I, 23rd PA Volunteers mustering in on April 31st 1861 for a three month volunteer enlistment. After his enlistment ran out he re-enlisted withthe Eleventh Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was killed at Bull Run, Aug. 30, 1862. He was originally interred at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Philadelphia which was removed in 1951 to Lawnview cemetery. He is buried there in the Diamond Section.

| Grave of Private Robert F. Johnston Company A, 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteers, three Month volunteers . He was mustered into service on April 31st 1861 and mustered out on July 31st 1861. He is buried at Glenwood Cemetery in West Chester PA. He is buried just to the left side of the schoolhouse.
