Project Report Part 1

Venue: Whitley Bay Beach
Date: 10/5/2003
Team Members Present: Pearson, Gilly, Tooma + Wally

Written by Peter Toomer

The team rendezvoused at the specified Gateshead indoor retail outlet shopping centre. Also known as the Metro Centre at approximately 10.50am. We proceeded into the nearest food retail outlet. This particular outlet was called WH Smith. The team purchased the following solid and liquid refreshments from the outlet.

Pearson - Cherry Drops
Gilly - Milky Bar Munchies
Wally - 2x 500ml bottles of Lucozade and a packet of joosters
Tooma - Nowt cos I was skint

Upon departure from the outlet we immediately proceeded onto the appropriate mode of transport that was already waiting in the correct departure bay. This particular mode of transport was the x66 Go North East bus service. We departed from the required transport departure location at approximately 11.00am. This particular bus had modern day public transport facilities, including its own radio broadcasting service, service advertising on a tv screen and a fat man located to the rear of the bus eating food with a high fat content. This man was not part of the team! The bus’s personal radio broadcasting service attempted to entertain us with the following recordings.

Robbie Williams - Millennium
Gabriel - Rise
David Sneddon - Stop living the lie

However the volume was of an inappropriate level so that once the driver had reached his desired speed along the A1 motorway, we could no longer hear the intended entertainment because of the movement propulsion device. This particular device being a diesel engine. Once we reached the desired arrival location, this being the currently under construction Gateshead Interchange bus terminal. We proceeded to stand E and patiently waited for our required mode of transport to arrive. However upon arrival of the public service device to the terminal, we concluded that this was not our desired departure point. We then proceeded to move to what we thought was then our desired location. Within seconds of departing from our original location the appropriate service number bus was approaching towards us. However we concluded that this was not the correct service. We then returned to the original location in hot pursuit of the bus anyway. We then caught sight of an informational device also known as a sign, this device included important information to our team and research. From the sign we concluded that our required mode of transport, being the 301 Go North East bus service to Whitley Bay did not depart from this location. The team then decided to articulate to another departure point nearby also containing an informative sign including the 301 bus number. The team then utilised our communicational skills and managed to acquire the relevant information that informed us that this was the correct departure point. The team patiently waited for our required mode of transport to arrive. Team member Gilly then noticed a nearby construction device. This was clearly identifiable as a crane. The team were struck down by an onslaught of immature comedy. The team had noticed a construction device with the company owner name printed on yet another information device. This particular construction device was owned by a Mr Dick Steel. The full informative content of the sign read “Dick Steel Erections.” Team member Gilly then proceeded to open his portable possession carrying device. This device is also commonly known as a bag. Team member Gilly then proceeded to take our first photographic picture memory picture exposure from a full film of 24. The team then waited till 11.44am upon which our preferred transport device arrived. We then boarded our preferred mode of transport, being the 301 Go North East bus service. We were permitted entry onto the bus upon acceptance of region wide travel cards purchased from the correct travel card retailer at an earlier date. The transport device then proceeded on its planned but not very well organised bus route whilst on route expected to stop and accept entry of paying customers who wished to use the same public transport device as our team. The team planned to use the photographic memory instrument to record and later print copies of various sites of scientific importance to the project. These sites are listed below but visual aids can also be found on the image gallery page to prove the existence of these sites.

Krusty’s Sandwich Bar
Billy Mill Bus stop
Fire Station (fake)
Van Gough Hairdresser
Dennis Chemist
Dance Studio

Upon arrival to the coastline, the team noticed the imagery of a sunny, clean sand and overall appealing shoreline whilst still using our preferred transport device. This area is also known as “Colourcoats.” However upon suggestion of departure from the bus, the subject (Team Member Pearson) insisted that we should stay on the bus to another location further along the coast which would far better meet our needs. As a respected member of the team, we valued his opinion and decided to maintain our position on the transport device. Upon arrival of team member Pearson’s preferred location we alighted from the transport onto the location of high density population an retail outlets. Also known as the high street. We then recorded our fourth photographic memory exposure of what the team thought. No matter how convincing what we thought was a fire station seemed to be, it was actually a concealed restaurant. The team thought this to rather unusual and in the name of science we took the photographic memory exposure. We then proceeded to approach the desired location of the beach. We used our expert geographical and tracking skills to locate the beach. We could see the sea so we articulated towards it. Upon arrival of the beach we located a suitable location to set up camp for the duration of the days experiments. We placed our portable possession carrying devices on the nearest rocks and Tooma proceeded to take his 28” waist, denim blue jeans off to reveal his black shorts and then proceeded to carry out the water temperature experiment. After thorough evaluation and group analysis, the team concluded that the water was cold. The team then proceeded to remove a football from team member Gillys personal possession carrying device and entertain ourselves by the ligament movement also known as “kicking the ball around.” It was then suggested that we should inscribe our website name into the sand to try and promote our experiment and cause. It was then suggested by team member Tooma to go one step further as he usually does. Team member Tooma then proceeded to dig our website name into the sand with the use of a material digging device also known as a spade. Each letter was approximately 10” deep and 4ft by 2.5ft. We used the photographic memory instrument to record our progress of the experiment and final results. These can be seen on the image gallery page. It was also suggested that the subject (Team Member Pearson) should be included in the photographic memory exposures to promote the experiment. Team member Pearson professionally steeped into the photographic memory instrument frame and convinced his fellow team members that he had the true makings of a model. After some scientific measuring and final photographic memory exposures team member Tooma concluded that the experiment had been very hard labour as team member Tooma was the only team member to take part in the material movement of the experiment. However the whole team deemed the experiment a success and was a step forward for the project and for every Pearson across the world. It was then decided that the team needed solid and liquid refreshments to boost energy levels. With the teams confidence levels higher than ever the team proceeded to locate the nearest seafood retail outlet. Once located the team purchased the following items

Pearson - 1x tray of sausage and chips and a 500ml bottle of Coca cola
Gilly - 1x tray of sausage and chips and a 500ml bottle of fanta
Wally - 1x tray of fish and chips and a 330ml can of coke
Tooma - 1x tray of fish and chips and a 330ml can of coke

After the team fulfilled our refreshment requirements, we proceeded to the departure point of the 301 Go North East bus service. Our transport service was scheduled to arrive at the specified location at 21 minutes past the hour and the team arrived at 23 minutes past the hour. However it had been a good day and the teams luck continued as members acute hearing picked up a nearby conversation that informed us of a distressed fellow bus service passenger. We were informally informed that the required transport had not yet arrived at the specified location. The team continued to wait for the required transport at the location. The transport in question failed to turn up for another 14 minutes and arrived at 37 minutes past the hour. However team member Pearson was concerned that we would not be granted access to our required transport because it carried the colours of the DFDS company which was not on the list of companies that would accept our region wide travel cards. However on closer inspection the bus carried the Go North East bus service logo on the front of the vehicle. Team member Gilly assured team member Pearson that we would be able to gain access to the transport. The team boarded the bus and were relieved to discover that we could board the bus with our travel cards. On the return journey, the team used the photographic memory instrument to take photographic memory exposures of the following scientific sites.

Dennis Chemist
Van Gogh Hairdressers
A Run Down Dance Studio

Upon arrival to indoor retail shopping outlet, the team took our final two photographic memory exposures. One of which being the bus we had spent 2 hours and 20 minutes on alone. This contributed to a grand total of approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes the team had spent on buss’s since the beginning of the experiment. This was not including bus usage of team members travelling to and from the agreed rendezvous point. The team members all concluded the experiment had been a success and a benefit to modern society and mankind. The team then went to their individual places of recreational and relaxation usage also known as home.
