The Power & Water Corporation in the Northern Territory.

Getting fed up with the way you get treated by Power & Water when you ask a question or question them about getting an over the top Power Bill when you are even living in a small unit or flat with no air conditioning.!

Are you also getting fed up hearing from Power & Water staff " that your bill is compriable to that of the same usage as last year !!.

We would have to ask what has last years usage got to do with your current bill !... Let alone for that matter how would they even know who was or was not staying with you at any time ?.

MMmmm does this sort of retorhic from Power & Water sound all so familiar to you too !.

Please Read the following 9 pages below as our Letter of Complaint of Commitment as it may help you.

For all of yous on Credit power " Billing " The following 9 pages will also give you some insight of whats going on as we too were on Credit power " Billing " and no matter what we did to cut down the bills just kept on going up and up and up so perhaps have a good think about and perhaps look at changing over as that way it puts YOU as the one who is in FULL charge and you can see what you are getting rather than that nasty shock at the end of every 3 months !.

Also YOU could be elligible for rebates.

As for persons like ourselfs now who are in full charge that are on " Pre Paid power " and have gone past them so " Heavenly Credit Power Bills " the following will be of great help to you as we have found out in that Power & Water has raised its ugly head once again in The Northern Territory.

So take CHARGE and help yourself in writing down your meter Serial number and keep it in a safe place you may need it some day.

Also take " CAREFULL NOTE " of the METER READING of YOUR POWER METER BEFORE YOU NEXT PUT ANOTHER POWER CARD in that " TAKE THE METER READING FIRST and AFTER " you use a power card and make note of ANY difference in the meter reading in that you are GETTING and DO GET the correct amount of credit for what ever power card you have put into the meter !.

so if for example you put in say a $5 or $10 make sure YOU GET what you paid for.

The best way to Test your power meter is to " switch off " the master power switch in your house, unit or flat so EVERYTHING IS OFF there is NO power what so ever coming in.

Then BEFORE putting in a new power card " Take your meter reading FIRST " as you will see the credit window showing how much credit or debit you have at that present time.

So if you have for say a credit of say $7.15 take note of that so now lets put in a new power card of $10 your meter should now show you having a Total credit of $17.15.

If this is not correct !.... And your meter is showing something different in you have lost 1 or 2 cents or more.... Then you have a problem !.

Its all worth keeping note of all this as a lack of credit of 1 or 2 cents per each card soon mounts up but to some of us out there this may not sound much and say ...So what its only ( 1 or 2 cents ) !.

Is that right ?.

Given the fact it has and does happen.

Lets say for just this example here it took place 1 millon times a day then multiplying that fact by 365 days a year you are now looking at BIG TAX FREE dollars now !.

Then you now have to ask yourself a few more questions in just who is getting this money ? .. Where is it going ? and then shouldn't you be asking yourselfs just WHY are we paying BIG power bills ?.

Power is one thing our drinking water quality is something else if you can drink it.. That is if it does not stink or burn you.
