Your
energy bills could be gone with the wind, if you buy a house that is
partially run off wind energy. Wind is a clean and a renewable
resource. The locations of the wind turbines are important as
well is the type of structure. Energy form wind can be used in
many ways. Wind turbine is just another word for a windmill.
In the 1980’s, when the first turbines were being installed, the cost
to run it was 30 cents per kilowatt-hour. Now it only cost
about 5 cents per kilowatt-hour. The cost has dropped more than
80% in the last 20 years. Learn

and Rewnewable Resource |
Wind will always be on the earth, so there is no way possible to run
out of this resource. This resource is different then fossil
fuels because fossil fuels will run out eventually and wind will
not. Also, fossil fuels pollute the environment while wind
energy does not. Today, wind energy is the fastest-growing
renewable energy resource in the world. The United States wind
energy use is more than 9,100 megawatts. The U.S. is the second
highest user of wind energy in the world.
There are two
types of windmills, the horizontal axis and the vertical
axis windmills. They are not different in the way that they
produce energy but are in the way that they look. Below, on the
left, is a vertical windmill and below on the right is a horizontal
windmill. It is very important that a windmill is placed where
there is wind or you will not receive energy from the wind
turbine. If the wind turbine is placed on the top of a
building then the turbine will receive more wind then it would if it
were on the ground. Which gives you more electricity.

Wind energy can be used as
electricity, water pumping, or
communications. Using wind energy in any of these ways will help
save money on your bills. Wind energy can be used for just about
everything.
