This is where the big dogs play. The trick that can be defined as the "Best Trick" is the one that is the hardest, newest, most innovative trick caught on film this year. There may not be many contenders for this award, but these tricks and riders stand out beyond the rest.
1) Blaize Mason - Front Flip
Blaize really wanted to make one of these front flips by the end of the year. He is so incredibly close in this video that I am inclined to give him credit for doing one. So what if he does a little sit down at the end? You can't tell, the camera doesn't show it. Check out the video and vote for Blaize because this trick was hard.
2) Blaize Mason - Frontside 540
Here is another video of Blaize. His two goals for the year were a front flip and a 540 degree spin. From the looks of this video, he has achieved both goals, congratulations Blaize.
3) Corby Walsh - Clean Backside 360
Up to this point, not much has been said about Corby Walsh. This is something that I'm greatly disappointed about because Corby is one of the best snowboarders in the area. In this video, he is only trying a 360 degree spin but I assure you that he can do any trick he wants. One example is to look at Blaize Mason's interview where Blaize states,"the people that influence me most are Travis [White] and Corby, they really get me motivated ... they're around my age and they're better than me. It pushes me further." I try not to be judgemental about the skills of other snowboarders but Blaize could be right. So, if you're looking for a nice clean trick to vote for, this is the one because Corby deserves an award.
