"Its a good life, logging. Been a
logger since my fifteenth year. My father was a logger,
and my father's father too. And some day, son... someday
you'll be a logger too. We'll start teaching you the craft
when you're a little older..."

Move Frequency: There will be
two types of game moves in this campaign: game moves and story
moves. Game moves will occur as often as they need to,
usually in response to a player action. Game moves will
cover such things as the results of skill rolls, combat, spell
results, and so on. Compared to the story moves, the game
moves will be short and to the point. All in-game
responses sent by the players count as game moves.
Story moves are those moves which advance the overall story.
They will contain an edited recap of all game moves sent that
week, plus the next part of the story. Quite often, story
moves will also contain story foreshadowing in the form of
scenes that the player characters have no way of being aware of,
but make for a more exciting and complete story. They will
be sent out every Friday.
Players should
attempt to respond to both sorts of moves as quickly as they
can. If two story moves are posted with no response from
the player, or three game moves that the player is involved in
are posted with no response from the player, he will be removed
from the game and a new player found to replace him. If
four game moves are posted with no response from an involved
In order to tell the
two types of moves apart easily, all story moves will have in
their subject line a tracking stamp using the following format:
Imperial
Year-Adventure Number-Move Number - Adventure Title
For example,
"5137.1.1 - The Difference Between Wanting and Getting"
indicates that the story is taking place in Imperial year 5137,
and that the story move in question is the first move of the
first story, amd that the title of the first story is "The
Difference Between Wanting and Getting".
When responding to a
story move, please delete the adventure title and replace it
with your character's name, as follows:
5137.1.1 -
Theobald
Setting: Escape from Wychcross will
begin in the Kingdom of Calafia. Depending on player
action, it will most likely range up and down the EasterSea
Coast and beyond.
Campaign Specifics: Escape
from Wychcross will be an entirely serial campaign. The characters
will remember what has gone before and so will the NPC's.
If enemies are made, they will be kept. The same for
friends. All will generally work out for the best, but
there are inherent dangers to a character adventuring. The
DM will not make extra effort to preserve a character who is
played recklessly.
I'm going to aim at
having an adventuresome story filled with thrills and
occasionally spills, and might even throw some humor, tragedy,
or romance into the mix.
Submissions: The Escape from
Wychcross campaign is no longer accepting submissions.
