The robber tried to light the match on the cat's

eyes. The cat gave out a mighty howl and started to

spit and scratch. The robber was frightened. He ran

out the back door. As he ran, the dog bit him in his

leg. The rooster cried out, "Cock-a-doodle-doo."

The donkey gave him a good kick. The robber ran back as fast as he could to the other crooks.

pecked." The robbers decided that there was something very scary living in that house. "We must

never go back there," said the leader.
