Starfleet Tactical Force: Awards and Decorations

STF Order The STF Order is given out semi-annually to those crew members who have proven themselves to be outstanding in and out of the SIMs. They typically go above and beyond the call of duty in the SIMs and out of SIMs by recruiting and helping with other SIM aspects. It also comes with a medal.	STF Distinguished Service Cross The STF Distingiushed Service Cross is given to those crew members who demonstrate exceptional game play. These characters are the cream of the crop in the STF, and they have dedicated their characters to the betterment of their ship and team. This award is also given for service above and beyond the call of duty in SIMs and comes with a medal.			Golden Starburst The Golden Starburst is awarded for extreme cases of bravery in which one has faced some great physical loss or even death. This award comes with a medal.

Distinguished Ship Ribbon Awarded quarter anually, the Distinguished Ship Ribbon is given to every crew member on an STF vessel that has been chosen by the Commander in Chief for their attendance, gameplay, teamwork, and overall character. Also, their perception is tested.	Distinguished Staff Officer Ribbon Awarded quarter anually, the Distinguished Staff Officer ribbon is given to every staff officer (head of a department) on an STF vessel that has been chosen by the Commander in Chief for their attendance, gameplay, teamwork, and overall leadership capabilites.			Crimson Valor The Crimson Valor is given to STF crew members who brave death to fulfill a mission and are in a constant state of risk but keep on going.

Prisoner of War Awarded to any Starfleet personell who, during a time of Declared War are captured and held by the enemy.	Purple Heart Awarded to crewmembers who have been seriously wounded in combat against an enemy force.			Outstanding Department Awarded tri-monthly to a department of a ship (Helm, Tac, Sci, Eng, etc.) for outstanding efficiency and overall performance.

Special Forces Commendation Ribbon	Army/Marine Commendation Ribbon			Good Attendance Ribbon Ribbon awarded to crew members who attend 10 consecutive SIMs. Subsequent awards are given at 15, 20, 25, and 30 SIMs, and are shown with bronze insignia devices. A 35 SIM award is shown with a silver insignia device replacing the bronze devices.
Alpha Quadrant Service Ribbon Awarded to any crewmember who is stationed on a vessel that operates in the Alpha Qudarant.	Beta Quadrant Service Ribbon Awarded to any crewmember who is stationed on a vessel that operates in the Beta Qudarant.			Delta Quadrant Service Ribbon Awarded to any crewmember who is stationed on a vessel that operates in the Delta Qudarant..
Gamma Quadrant Service Ribbon Awarded to any crewmember who is stationed on a vessel that operates in the Gamma Qudarant.	Dominion Incursion Ribbon Awarded to any crewmember in comission at the start of the Dominion War (2372; Academy does not count)			Dominion Campaign Ribbon Awarded to officers and enlisted who were actively involved in the Dominion War. (2372-2375).
2nd Battle for Chintauka Awarded to survivors of the Second Battle for Chintauka	Battle of Cardiassia Awarded to officers and enlisted who were involved in the ground or space Battle for Cardassia (2375)			Borg Campaigns Awarded to crewmembers who have fought at least five engagements with the Borg.
Battle for Deep Space Nine Awarded to officers and crew who were involved in the retaking of DS9.	Battle of Betazed Awarded to crew members who fought to liberate Betazed during the Dominion War. (2374)			Cochrane Medal of Excellence Awarded to Engineers who contribute systems to their ships to enhance power, efficency, speed and over all capability of that vessel.
Academy Graduate Awarded to any graduate of the Starfleet Academy in San Fransisco.	Efficiency Ribbon Awarded to crew members who keep their stations running quickly. This includes quick response time to orders and the fluidity in which they are carried out.			Star Cruise Ribbon Given to crew members who complete two months of active duty on their ship.

STF Special Forces Tab The Special Forces Tab is awarded to those officers and enlisted personell that pass the Special Forces Qualification Course on the Avalon. They are also allowed to choose to wear their normal departmental colors or the black uniform of the Special Forces.	STF Ranger Tab The STF Rangers are a unique group who are second only to Special Forces in skill. These elite light infantry units are used to operating on their own on planets for months without support. The STF's Ranger Battalion is based in the Gamma Quadrant on space Station New Frontier. After completeing 9 weeks of ranger school, students are awarded the tab.		- Image Pending - Elite Security Unit Tab The Elite Security Unit is trained in the Alpha Quadrant at Starbase Eight. They are recruited from many Marine Units throughout the STF. Once finished with their schooling, they are authorized to wear the ESU tab.
Pilot Wings Awarded to all candidates who pass basic flight school. The wings are the same for shuttle, fighter, runabout and <i>Pave-low</i> runabout pilots.	Senior Pilot Wings Awarded to all current pilots who demonstrate exceptional handling of their fighters. The wings are the same for shuttle, fighter, runabout and Pave-low runabout pilots.		U.S.S. Avalon Ship Patch Awarded by the Commanding Officer of USS Avalon (NCC 06742) to officers and enlisted in good standing. The person recieving the award must have been 'blooded' (seen combat) on the vessel.
