STF Official Storyline

Backstory

The Federation has achieved a period of peace, due in large part to the end of the Dominion War and the increasingly easing relations with the Romulans. Due to this, the Federation has decided to scale back Starfleet as a governing body typically does in peacetime. However, some of the member worlds have grown discontent, feeling that their concerns are not a priority with the Federation. Enough of them eventually band together to form a large alliance, called the Coalition of Allied Planets (CAP). They eventually rally several key players in Starfleet to their cause. Heated debates between pro-CAP Federation citizens and anti-CAP Federation citizens soon turn into skirmishes, and the Federation is plunged into Civil War before it has a chance of turning back.
