Joey Tribianni is a struggling actor who used to live with Chandler. His current roommate is Rachel. He typically performs in a lot of bad plays. His best role was as Dr. Drake Remore on Days of Our Lives. He lost the role when he upset the writers and they killed him off.

He thought his time had finally come, when Joey landed the lead role in a cable TV series, Mac and CHEESE. But the show was horrible and got canceled.
Day of Our Lives wrote in a new character, Striker Remorae, but Joey's attitude kept him from getting the role. Instead, he resumed his role of Drake - in a coma. But Drake received a brain transplant and he now has the brain of Jessica Lockhart in him. But at least he's conscious!

Joey is the only boy in a family of seven sisters. He's always dating someone, but nothing ever lasts. His most serious girlfriend was Kathy, who fell for Chandler, and they broke up.
After Chandler moved out, he found a female roommate, Janine, and fell for her. It took awhile, but eventually she came around. They broke up and she moved out, though, after she told Joey she didn’t like his friends. After Rachel moved in with him, he fell for her. She didn't feel the same. However, a little more than a year later, they did get together. They dated for awhile, but decided it was too weird and ended it. He has not had a serious relationship since Rachel.

Joey's story has continued to have life beyond Friends. He moved to Los Angeles where he lives with his 20 year-old nephew, nearby his sister Gina.
