Monica Geller-Bing is Ross's little sister and Rachel's former roommate. She now lives with her husband, Chandler. Her two struggles have been to find a good job and the right man. Both seem to finally have been found.

Monica's first job was as a chef at a restaurant. She got promoted, but then fired when her staff tricked her. She catered on and off, most notably at Carol and Susan's wedding and for a future boyfriend. She held a couple crummy jobs and ended as the head chef at Allesandro's, hated by the staff. She now works as the head chef at Ja Vou.

Monica's first serious boyfriend was Dr. Richard Burke, who is a friend of her parents and 21 years older than she is. They were together for awhile, but then realized they saw the future differently. He occassionally repearred in the series, making Chandler feel threatened.

Her next serious boyfriend was Pete Becker. He chased after her awhile when she worked as a waitress at the Moondance Diner. The attraction finally became mutual, but was short-lived. They broke up when Pete decided to become the Ultimate Fighting Champion and she wouldn't watch him get hurt.

Monica was without a serious boyfriend until Ross's Wedding. She and Chandler ended up in bed together. They kept their relationship secret until Joey found out and was sworn to secrecy. Everyone else eventually found out. For their first anniversary, Monica and Chandler went to Vegas. After using marriage as a gamble during craps, they ended up outside a wedding chapel waiting to be married. They didn’t go through with it, but did decide to live together. They survived Chandler’s fear of commitment and her obsessiveness, and two years after they began dating, got engaged. They got married one year later. After their first year of marriage, they decided to start trying for a baby. After a year of no luck, they went to a fertility clinic and discovered they can't conceive. Heartbroken, she and Chandler decided to pursue adoption. A woman in Ohio selected them to receive her child. Monica finally became a mother in the final episode when Jack and Erica Bing were born.
