Fine Arts Galleries

Introduction:
These galleries are a representation of what I can do besides anime/manga style. I've learned so much after taking AP Studio Art about art in general. These are the projects that I have done in that class, and I will post more pieces I finish them soon. Hopefully my work in 3D, as well as realistic 2D will enhance my presence as an artist, as well as make me a well-rounded in the other fields of art. I feel that my training in traditional media and concepts have helped me grow as anime/manga artist too.

Painting Gallery
Painting Gallery - A section in which I post my paintings, which are mainly oil portraits. Most of the paintings are done in a classical way, with extreem focus on luminous skin like that of D'Vinci's. Dark backgrounds are also prominent in the paintings, as they are influenced by Rembrandt's lighting. A blend of classical, and impressionist style is seen through my developing paintings.
Teapot Gallery - A collection of handbuilt teapots that I have created that feature mostly the subjects of the crane and goldfish. All teapots are functional, yet are done in a more imaginative, creative way. Main emphasis in these teapots can be seen in the parrallel concept each holds. The themes of air and water, modern and traditional are apparent throughout the work.

Sculpture Gallery
Sculpture Gallery - Since I consider my teapots to show my strong point in art, I also feel that my sculptural pieces show the best I can do so far. This gallery features work that I have done for my AP Studio Art Portfolio, as well as projects that I did for fun. Some of these pieces show serious approaches, while others are done for pure amusement. Hopefully this 3D form are pleasing to you.
Drawing Gallery - This gallery features drawings that I have done with a various media: led pencils, conte', oil/dry pastels, and charcoal. All drawings are done from observation, as they are used to train the eye to see what is there, and for me to draw what I see, and not what I know. The majority of work is figural, with an emphasis on gesture drawings. A study of texture, such as metal is also shown here.
