SKY LYNX SKY LYNX

Sky Lynx made his first appearance with the Autobots in 2006, shortly after the battle with Unicron, which resulted in the Autobots' reclaiming of Cybertron. The Autobots Blurr and Wheelie had travelled to Earth Defence Command's base on Mars to retrieve a new transformation cog for the newly-built Autobot city of Metroplex. Marissa Fairbourne, head of the EDC, travelled back with them, but they wound up stranded on one of Juptier's moons. Autobot communications officer Blaster sent Sky Lynx to retrieve them. He was successful in his mission, and the new transformation cog was installed in Metroplex by Pipes. Metroplex then soundly defeated the Decepticon city of Trypticon. Sky Lynx also took on the Decepticon gestalt, Predaking and managed to defeat him, created a long-standing grudge by the Predacons against Sky Lynx.
Sky Lynx is an arrogant, concieted egotist - but has the power to back up his pretentious claims. He can split himself into two forms - a mechanical prehistoric bird, and a robotic lynx - and he can then combine these two forms into the more familiar form that is commonly referred to as Sky Lynx (as seen in above picture). He can then transform this form into that of an Earthen space shuttle. Huge in stature, Sky Lynx can fire energy beams from his mouth, and missiles from his tail. He is capable of lengthly space-flight, and has superior tracking equipment, capable of tracing radio waves over huge distances.
Sky Lynx aided the Autobots numerous times. During a great battle on Earth's moon, Sky Lynx engaged Trypticon in battle, but both parties, along with all the other Transformer Primitives (those with animal transformations), were summoned by the assistant of the insane alien known as Primacron to battle Primacron's latest creation, Tornitron. Sky Lynx had his energy absorbed by the creature very shortly after the battle began, but it was restored after the Dinobot, Grimlock, stopped Primacron's plans.
Sky Lynx's last recorded appearance was when Rodimus Prime sent him to the far reaches of the galaxy to find a Quintesson who could restore Optimus Prime to life, so that he could somehow stop the Hate Plague that was ravaging the universe. Rodimus soon succumbed to the Plague also, and then, after Optimus was resurrected, infected Sky Lynx too. Optimus then opened the Matrix, using its wisdom to cure the madness of the Plague. Sky Lynx must have been cured at this point, but he was not seen again afterwards, although it is presumed that he survived to see the restoration of Cybertron's Golden Age.
