What is a Book of Shadows? One of the first questions a beginning witch asks. The answer: A book of shadows is a book (duh) in which you keep spells, thoughts, rituals, etc. This book is for your private use and does not need to be shared with anyone else though, if you wish, it may be shared. I have chosen to share parts of my book with you.
The more traditional version is a nice book. One of my friends has a beautiful leather bound book with a Celtic knot design on the front. Then, there are those of us who are broke. My book is notebook, the ones that say "composition book" on the front.
