ROYAL RUMBLE 2002 results: Fireworks go off as ECW Royal Rumble starts. Jr: Hello everyone and welcome to this wonderous event they call the Royal Rumble! Jl: Wonderous Jr: I am as always J.R. and beside me is Jerry the King Lawler. Jl: J.R., just look above the ring. There's the cage that will be used in two matches. Jr: That's right, the TLCC match for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships, and the cage match for the Hardcore Championship. Jl: Oh, I don't want to see that cage match. I don't want Sting to get hurt. Jr: What if Raven gets hurt? Jl: Eh. Jr: And of course one match, thirty men. The infamous Royal Rumble. Jl: In that match ya got Test, Austin, Kane, Big Show, Kurt Angle, Justin Credible. A tip-top Royal Rumble. Jr: And the ECW and WCW Championships will be defended. Jl: Yep, 5 matches jam packed. Jr: Since all of the matches are in anticipation, we don't have any to wait for! The cage is coming down as the refs put some chairst and tables and ladders in it. There's the Tag Team Titles hanging above the ring. Jl: This is the Undertaker and Alberts first ever TLCC match. Jr: And The Dudleys' fourth, I think. Jl: And the bad thing is all four men are in the WCW. Jr: How is that bad? Albert and Undertaker's music blasted over the arena. Jr: What a mean streak from these guys. Jl: A mean streak? Do you not remember Raven? That man has some issues. The Dudley Boyz music hit and they walked into the cage.
Hanging above the ring was one belt-a gold plated Tag Team Championship. There were two chairs, ladders and tables. Undertaker attacked Bubba, and Albert attacked D-Von. They switched, and Albert took Bubb Ray onto the top of the cage. He climbed as well, and set him up for the PttO. He got it off! Albert climbed back in the ring as D-Von gave the Undertaker a Mono-3D. Albert set up a table as D-Von ran at him. Albert gave the Dudley a boot in the face. He put him on top of the cage and set him up for a powerbomb through the table. But D-Von reversed and climbed back in, pushing Albert off. Meanwhile, Taker climbed a ladder and grabbed the Gold Belt. He set it in the corner. D-Von came back down but Taker got to him first. Albert was climbing back in when Undertaker told him to stay out. He pushed the Gold Belt off the cage. He went to the other side of the cage, and Bubba Ray hit him with a chair. Albert hit Bubba Ray then threw him back in the cage, then set up a table. The Undertaker got back up and set a ladder carefully on the cage. Albert and he gave D-Von a Powerbomb/Chokeslam all the way to the outside through the table. They went down with him, so they won the Championship. Jl: The Undertaker and Albert have defeated the Dudley Boyz and became the first EVER Undisputed Tag Team Champions! Jr: A wonderful effort from both teams, but to Albert and Undertaker go the victory. Jl: We just saw the TLCC Match from last month as the match of 2001, I think we got our match of 2002. Jr: The cage is going up as we wait for the ECW Championship match. Tazz and the Rock have started quite a rivalvry, with Earl Hebner in the middle. Promo for the ECW Championship Match at the Royal Rumble. Tazz's music starts to play as smoke fills the arena. The suplex machine walks down the ramp and enters the ring. He talks to the referee. Jr: Is he trying to bribe him again? Jl: He's just making sure the Rock won't. The Rock's music hits as the cheers fill the arena. The Rock wastes little time and goes straight for Tazz.
Tazz quickly moves out of the way, but the Rock comes back. He goes for a couple pins before he gives up and continues to beat on Tazz. Then Test's music hit. Test came out and walked around the ring and sat down. Tazz gave the Rock the TazzmissionSlam. He went for the pin, but the Rock kicked out. Tazz looked up and noticed Earl Hebner. He thought the ref counted slow on purpose so he gave him a Tazzmission, then a facebuster. The Rock got up and gave him the Rock Bottom. He went over to Earl to revive him, but Test came in and hit him with the ECW Championship belt. Tazz rolled to the cover and Earl started the count...Rock kicked out. Test came in and gave him a pumphandle slam. Tazz went for the cover but again the Rock kicked out. Test came back in with a chair and hit the Rock. Tazz, again, went for the cover, and, again, the Rock kicked out. Test came in again and gave him the pumphandle slam on the chair. Tazz went for the cover and finally won. Jr: What is Test's problem? First he tries to get rid of the ECW and now he's trying to get rid of the ECW Championships! He doesn't like ECW. Jl: Can ya blame him? Jr: Yes, he screwed the Rock out of the ECW Championship! Jl: Oh well, the cage is coming back down for the Hardcore Championship match. With the old Sting and old Raven back, this is going to be scary. Jr: Sting has held the Hardcore Title longer than any superstar, which is 6 months. But now he's in for the match of his life. Raven's music hits. He slowly walks down and checks the cage. He walks through the door. Sting's music blasts as he walks out with the Hardcore Title over his shoulder. He hands it to the ref then walks in the cage, followed by the ref.
Raven and Sting didn't wait. The point of this match was you didn't have to stay in the cage, but you needed to be in the cage for the pin. The door would be shut so you'd have to climb. Anyway, Raven pounded on Sting, as he would do so for most of the match. He threw him into the cage, into the turnbuckle, then decided he wanted out. He picked up Sting and placed him on top of the cage. Then Raven climbed up there. He set him up like he was going to do a powerbomb. He picked him up and powerbombed him all the way to the ground through the announce table. Sting stood there, proud of what he'd done, then climbed down after Sting. He threw him into the steps and the cage. He pulled out a ladder and set it up in front of the cage. He pulled Sting up and threw him back in the ring. Raven climbed over and in. He picked up the limp Sting and gave him a couple belly-to-belly suplexes against the cage wall. On the fifth one, the top part of the cage broke away from the platform and the whole side tipped over. The bottom part of the cage was still attachted to the ring, but Raven didn't care. He set Sting back up on top of the cage, in the corner of the broken side and a normal side. He set him up for another powerbomb. He was facing the way of the ring when suddenly he turned and, jumping with him, slammed Sting through the broken side. The bottoms detached and cage laid there. He rolled Sting back in and went for the pin, but the ref didn't know what to do. He asked everyone by the announce set and found out that the cage had to be up. They couldn't win until the cage was fixed. Raven reattatched everything and went for the pin. Somehow Sting kicked out. Raven looked at the ref like it was hit fault. He grabbed his hair and threw him into the other side of the cage, facing the entrance. He kept throwing him in there until that side broke. When Raven turned around, Sting gave him a boot to the face. He threw him outside onto the cage. Then he threw him into the tron. Sting knew the cage had to be up, so he went to fix it. Raven started coming back, so Sting went to climb the cage. Unfortunately, he climbe the cage Raven fixed. Well, Raven hadn't fixed it right, so when Sting climbed it, it fell over. Sting flipped onto the cage. Two adjacent sides of the cage had been broken. Raven brought the ladder set up earlier over to Sting. Sting was up, against the ropes. Raven whacked him in the head with the ladder. He set it up, then pulled Sting up it. Sting reversed and set Raven up for a powerbomb, but Raven reversed it and gave Sting a back flip. Sting flew threw the air and landed in the corner of the two broken cages. The platform broke and Sting landed on the turnbuckle, then fell off. Raven went over when Albert and the Undertaker came out. Raven stopped them, then grabbed a chair and hit them. Cactus Jack came out and dodged the chair, and hit Raven instead. He threw the chair at him, then dragged him under one side of the broken cages. He pinned him under it, then sat on it. Meanwhile, referees and whatnot came out and fixed the cage. Before they fixed the last cage, they threw Sting and Raven in with a referee. Raven threw Sting everywhere, then gave him a Raven Effect for the win. Jr: Oh...my...God.... Jl: Why would anyone do that to...anyone?! Jr: Well Raven has certainly brought meaning back to the Hardcore Championship, the now ECW Hardcore Championship. Jl: Meaning?! I think he killed Sting! Two sides of the cage broke, the top part broke...all when Sting went through them. Except for one of the sides, that was the ref. Jr: I cannot believe what I've seen. This is horrible...for Sting. Jl: Life goes on...unless he died there. Did he? Jr: We'll see King, we'll see. Cactus Jack's music hits. He walks down and enters the ring as the cage goes up. Jl: That man had to sit on Raven to restrain him while they fixed the cage! Triple H's music hit. The match started.
Triple H and Cactus Jack stared at each other for a while. Then Cactus pushed the Game. Triple H pushed back. Then they got into a tangle. Cactus was able to push Triple H into the corner, where the ref made them break. The WCW Champion pushed the challenger back into the other corner, where again they had to break. Triple H backed up and Cactus ran at him. He gave him a monkey toss, then a DDT. Triple H went for the pin, but Jack kicked out. Cactus rolled out of the ring for a breather. He grabbed a sledgehammer and put on the apron with the ref and HHH weren't looking. Cactus came back in the ring. He ran at Triple H, but the Game moved and Cactus hit the referee. Cactus turned around and kicked Triple H. He gave him the Double-Arm DDT. He went for the pin, but there was no ref. Rather than getting the ref, Cactus grabbed the sledgehammer. He picked it up, but Triple H got up. HHH moved out of the way and Cactus dropped the hammer. When Cactus turned around, Triple H gave him the Pedigree. The ref was still out though. Triple H got up and brought in a chair. As he came back in, Cactus got up and grabbed the hammer. As Triple H raised the chair, Cactus hit the chair back in his face; the impact of the hit bounced the hammer back and hit Cactus on the head. They both fell down. The ref started counting as he came back in the ring. He finally got to ten. He called for the bell, but Howard Finkle didn't know what to say. Finally they came to a decision. The title was declared vacant since Cactus initiated the hit. Then WCW Comissioner William Regal came out. "We need a winner." But it was obvious Triple H and Cactus Jack couldn't continue. "All right, then we'll have to put the WCW Title on the line in the Royal Rumble." Jr: Well there's something you don't see everyday. The WCW Title will now be on the line in the Royal Rumble. Jl: I don't get it. I thought you retained the title on a count out thing. Jr: The referee didn't think so. Jl: Eh. Howard Finkle enters the ring. Hf: It's now time for the Royal Rumble! First, the [wo]man who drew number 1... Asia's music hit. Hf: ...Asia! And the man who drew number 2... Christian's music hit. Hf: ...Christian!
