Benji Pt. 2
Running down the street, forgetting he was carrying his skateboard, Michael suddenly stopped. "Wait a minute," Michael thought to himself, "my best friend is dead." Michael sulkily looked down, tears in his eyes, then whispered, "Then why did he call me?" Michael, being a curious 16 year-old boy, smiled and headed to the skatepark anyway, to see if Benji really was there. Arriving at the warm, sunny skatepark, Michael didn't see his best friend's missed face. "Mikey," he heard a too-familiar voice say. "I'm under the ramp. Come here!" Michael smiled and ran for the ramp. Underneath the ramp, sitting next to his skateboard, sat the tattered and torn face of Benji. "Hey buddy," Benji said, smiling. "Long time, no see, eh?" Benji replied. "Why are you still here?" Michael asked, smiling back. "Does this have to do with that unfinished business stuff?" Benji laughed. "Of course. God let me come down off the big heavenly ramp to have one last good jump with my best friend. Not only do I have to skate with my best friend, I gotta do a couple of more good deeds before I can go back." They laughed. "Let's not worry abot that. Lets just skate," Benji said, getting up with his skateboard. They skated all day, ramp after ramp. Benji was stepping off the ramp when suddenly the ramp began to collapse - after shooting Michael into the air for a stunt. After Michael heavily fell with a thud, Benji rushed over to him to find Michael's head busted open, and him unconcious. Benji ran down the street, screaming for help. About 30 minutes later, an ambulance and Michael's parents were rushing to the scene. "...there was this boy about Michael's height with brown spikey hair running down the street screaming for help!" A woman explained to David and Maria. They both looked at eachother and replied, "Benji." As they loaded Michael into the ambulance, Benji, with tears as sparkly as diamonds in his eyes, now a ghost, stood watching his best friend get into the same physical position he was in - before he became a ghost only two weeks ago.
