Rokan investigating
Wellignton Zoo has two tigers (1.1.)

  1. Rokan, son of the resident pair from their first litter.
    Wellington Zoo is looking for a female to breed him with.

  2. Cantik, the female came from Holland.

Wellington Zoo has had a successful breeding program. The founding pair, Jambi and his mate, Cantik have had two litters of three cubs each. The first litter were two female and one male, (1.2.). One female, Nisha is now at Auckland Zoo and the second is Malu, now at Perth. The male is Rokan. The second litter were born in January 2000, again (1.2.). They now reside at Hamilton Zoo.

On the 1st November 2001 the male, Jambi died of poisoning after eating beef laced with an euthanasia drug. Cantik also ate the meat but recovered.
