Sage headed back into the house. He made his way back up the stairs and headed into Anubis' room. He flicked on the light. He noticed a reddish fox like creature with three tails.
"Vulpix!" it said. The creature was cute.
"Hello, what are you?" Sage said affectionately, reaching his hand out to pet the crature. Suddenly the creature opened its mouth in what looked like a yawn when out came a flame that resembled Scorpion's in strength and size. For the first time in 17 years, Sage's hair found something that could move it out of place.
"Eh hm," sage coughed, a small puff of smoke escaping his mouth.
"Quite a yawn you have there," Sage said while withdrawing his hand.
"Vulpix!" the creature said in the same cheerful voice.
A runnig sound could be heard on the stairs. A panting boy entered the room with a bowl of something resembling dogfood.
"Sorry I'm late. I had to get Vulpix her dinner. It's my own special blend of Pokemon food." the boy said.
"Hello. Um, what's a pokemon?" Sage questioned trying the new word on his tongue.
"Why, that's what Vulpix here is. By the way, my name is Brock," a moment later more runnig was heard and a girl with short red hair, overall-shorts, and a midriff revealing yellow top appeared at the door.
"Sorry to disturb your task thing Brock but I think Team Rocket followed us through the portal," The girl said. "Ash is sown there but I think Pikachu might start a fire."
Brock looked at Sage.
"What are you looking at him for?" Misty asked, her temper starting to rise.
"Misty, you just gave this guy his task." Sage looked at the boy named Brock, then at the girl named Misty who seemed who seemed to be catching on.
"They're in the basement," she said.
Sage turned, went down the stairs and headed toward the basement. He walked to the open door of the basement when suddenlythe light came on by itself.
"Prepare for trouble!"
"Make it double!"
"To protect the world from devastation,"
"To unite all peoples within our nation,"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love,"
"To extend our reach to the stars above,"
"Jesse!" a red-haired woman in a skimpy outfit jumped into the light.
"James!" a guy wearing a similar but less skimpy outfit, with blue hair and a rose in his teeth jumped into the light. Sage noticed that there was a red 'R' on eah outfit.
"Hey are you guys Team Rocket?" Sage asked.
The woman with long red hair looked up, "never interrupt the Team Rocket motto."
"Yeah," said the blue-haired guy.
"I'll thake that as a yes. Why does your hair stick out like that?" Sage asked the woman.
"Well, it all started...hey, don't change the subject. You interrupted the Team Rocket motto and now you must pay! Go get him Arboc!!!" she shouted throwing a red and white ball at Sage. A large purple cobra came out.
"Charvock!" the snake said.
"You too Wheezing!" said James. He also threw a red and white ball at Sage but instead of a snake, a purple creature that looked like three asteroids melted together came out.
"Whee-zing!" said the creature.
"O-kay," said Sage cocking his eyebrows. Once again he armored up and pulled out his no datchi. The snake and asteroid creature turned and fled. Sage pursued them. As he was runnig he stepped on Arboc's tail and the snake fell flat. It was knocked out cold. Sage raised his no-datchi and knocked the wheezing on the largest of its heads. The Wheezing fell and was just as out of it as the Arboc was.
Sage turned to Team Rocket. They turned to run too but sage was quicker.
THUNDER BOLT CUT!!"
"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket flew backward into the portal.
Hi my name is Ash Ketchum and this is Pikachu," said a boy that Sage hadn't noticed.
"Pikachu," said a small, yellow, moselike creature. Sage shook both Ash's hand and Pikachu's paw. As they started a conversation, Misty and Brck came down the basement steps.
"You did it! That's great!" said Brock.
"Here's your letter," said Misty, as she handed Sage a red-metallic 'R'.
"Thanks," said Sage.
"Well, we better get going, I have to earn another bagde to get into the Johto league," said Ash.
Everyone said their goodbyes and they all went through the portal.
