The work began with replacement of ALL the outriggers and side rails
To ensure my welding was up to scratch I signed up for a short course at the local college, well worth the money. You only want to be doing this once !
This is where I probably made my biggest mistake, everything had a generous coat of red lead but I followed up with 3 coats of hammerite.I am led to believe that this may prove too brittle but only time will tell.
Once the bodyshell is back on the brakes will obviously need rebuilding once again and some serious bleeding will be done.
