Day 2

I had nothing better to do when I woke up in the morning so I decided to show pictures of our wonderful toilet. Theses are the buttons on the side of the toilet.

The buttons on the toilet.

With those buttons it kind of makes you afraid of the toilet. I myself will never push any of them... Man, that must totally feel weird to have water sprayed at you. The directions are in Japanese on the under side of the toilet cover.

Me in the morning looking tired.

Breakfast time! I don't remember the name of the place (Tea House Japan?) that we went to but they sold mostly dessert things. We had pancakes. Its not like the pancakes that you get from Eggs N' Things or places like that. These were thick and you get full really fast off of them. I had the chocolate set. It had 4 pancake things covered in chocolate sauce, some bananas and whipped cream, and small scoop of chocolate ice cream.

My sister's partially eaten Chocolate Set.

We also had milk with our breakfast. The milk was sweet. It probably has a higher cream content than the milk from America. They gave it to us in this very strange cup. It was tilted over to one side and then the handle is slanted the other way. I wish I could've stolen that cup :P.

The weird slanted cup.

The display in front of the restaurant.

We then stopped by a convenience store out front of the hotel. Its name is ASsooNAS, pretty bizzare and sounds bad when you pronounce it. I'll take a picture of the sign later. While there I was looking at some interesting snacks like Pretz. Can't believe they have Beer Pretz and Digestive Pretz. Also, I was looking at Pocky! Here look for yourself.

Ok I not only looked at snacks... I bought some... well ok quite a bit... here look...

No, I'm not planning on eating all of that. I'm going to bring most of it back just because I'm weird. I bought Minute Maid Apple Juice, Sour Cream and Onion Doritos, Cheddar Cheese Doritos, Pocky Chocolate, Grape Mentos, Vanilla Ritz Bits, and Double Berry Kit Kat. Not in the picture is Creamy Cheese Pringles. I'm snack happy so sue me.

First on our itinerary was Osaka Castle. We had to walk far to get there after getting off the train and subway. We had a ton of problems trying to figure out what trains and subways to take.

Confusion at the train station.

My dad looking bored on the train.

Hey look what I saw when we were transferring trains! Look familiar?

Daiei

Finally, we get to where Osaka Castle is. In the train station there was a model of the entire area. It was pretty nice.

Osaka Castle area model.

That's the outside of Osaka Castle. They don't allow picture to be take of the inside. It's a museum inside now, not a real castle. And they make you walk up and down 8 floors of stairs! Above are just a few miscellaneous shots that I took.

Guess what's next! That right folks! Its time to eat again! For lunch we had Japanese food at a small place right outside of the castle. Once again my fascination with Japanese soda cans and bottles becomes evident.

Fanta Grape and Diet Coca-Cola.

My Coke bottle and my sister eating her Udon.

Next we went to a place called Nipponbashi which was supposedly an electronic district. We didn't see much there. But that's probably because we had no idea where we were going. While there I did get to see some aracde games like Pop N' Music. I didn't play because I heard they were hard...

Pop N' Music 7 and 9.

Then after that I got to browse around in a Namco arcade. It was mostly crane game type games (there are tons of those in Japan...) but I got to see Taiko no Tatsujin 4. No pictures of course (they don't allow it). For some reason in the back there was a lone Konami game Beatmania 6th Mix. I did play that with my sister, only 3 star songs though. NO I DIDN'T PLAY JACK AND MARK GET BUSY!

Back on the street more confusion as to what train or subway we should take.

More confusion. (My mom looks angry...)

Ahem, it is a cool Coke bottle don't you think?

After that we headed to the subway station where I did a quick run to the Coco Ichibana that I saw to get some boxed curry mixes. Man, it was so much fun trying to tell them we didn't want to order anything, just buy the mixes -_-. Next off to Osaka Aquarium!
