Clear and warm day, gorgeous!
Well, last night we were out until quite late, so I didn't update because I was too tired! For anyone who is interested, Fumihiko and I did make up but it was touch and go for a while.
I didn't really feel like going to Naomi's goodby party, but I did and I'm glad. We all had a good time. We ended up going to karaoke and it was hilarious! Chris, the new Sakata teacher came and has definitely been dubbed the Karaoke King! He's crazy, but very funny.
We got home around 4 in the morning and both Fumihiko and I went to sleep straight away. When I finally woke up it was around 12. I was a bit shocked, but didn't mind that much. We got up finally and went to Edoichi. Sigh. It was okay, and we missed most of the lunch crowd.
After that, we went to the Mall. We both wanted to see Kill Bill. It was good, typical Quentin Tarantino! Very violent though, so if violence doesn't do it for you, give it a miss. Still, most of Tarantino's films are violent so this one isn't an exception or anything.
After the movie I went shopping for my sister's birthday present. It was a bit tough because we don't have the same taste in clothes and the sizes are very different here, but I think I got some nice stuff for her. And if she doesn't want it, I'll take it back for myself!
We had a cup of coffee in Jusco and then decided to go home for a few minutes. Then, when we were almost home, we decided to go out for dinner. We wen't to M's Dining where I had some garlic and mustard steak and the soup bar. I rather liked it.
We returned home and Fumihiko suggested watching Tasogare Seibei. It's a very popular Japanese Movie about a poor Samurai living in Shonai. He bought the DVD a few weeks ago as it has English Subtitles. I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the movie very much. The acting was very natural and it was cool to try and pick out places that I'd seen. I saw Mount Chokai and recognized it, Fumihiko noticed Mount Gassan...a nearby mountain. Some of the shots were done in other places, but a lot were done in and around Tsuruoka.
After the movie, I took a shower. When I got back to my room, my husband had already gone to bed. Argh! Oh well, the poor thing has been having back trouble again. It's really too bad. I think his medicine mad him sleepy.
And that is that! My day. It was quite nice and I really enjoyed it. I'll catch you tomorrow, most likely!
