December 8, 2004 - Wednesday

Rainy with a touch of snow all day.

I woke up and then got up this morning. I checked my email and fell asleep on the couch as I usually do. When my alarm went off I snoozed it a couple of times but didn't notice that it switched itself off. Now that is just wrong. When I woke up it was 10:45, about 30 minutes late. I ran to get ready! I showered quickly, then made lunch and breakfast very quickly. I wolfed down my food, did dishes and was just walking to the front door to leave when Fumihiko opened the door. He had come home to pick up his telephone! Amazing. So, sweetie that he is, he drove me to work. I was glad because I was running late, and it was raining.

I had a reasonably busy day at work today. I taught 5 classes plus put up the photos from the Christmas party.

After work, Fumihiko called me before I was ready, but he still came and got me. I was glad. We went to the Voice restaurant and I had Shonai ginger pork and Fumihiko had fried chicken. It was very good. I also had tea to drink.

We slipped into the grocery store and bought a few groceries. I'm planning to use my slow cooker again and wanted some meat to put in it. On the way out of the store the Christmas tree was playing a tune, the one that goes "Oh, tidings of comfort and joy!" So, I sang along and then as no one was around, really let my voice swell and get big. I was in the "porch" part of the store so the acoustics were really cool. Then I noticed that there were people in the distance and they were all looking my way! Embarrassing, but a bit fun.

And that's it. We came home and I checked my email, then made some of my new decaff tea. It was really nice, just what I wanted for the end of the day.

I'll likely go to bed soon, I'm a bit tired. Catch you tomorrow? Night!
