Clear and cool, gorgeous day.
A sort of weird day. I set up my crockpot before work, and as a result came very close to being late! I left, leaving my dishes in the sink.
Work was fine today. Except, one student didn't show up and he didn't cancel. Instead he phoned our head office and asked them to give him another lesson in lieu of the one he missed today. Hmm. That's not how it works. The strange thing is that HE asked for his lesson to be re-scheduled to today. Hmm.
In another class, my student got to make a Christmas card. We spent the last ten minutes of his class making a card. I think he enjoyed it. I did anyway!
After work I waited for my hubby to call me. And waited. I called him at 9:40, but there was no answer. I left him a message. At 10 pm I called him again, and said I was going to ride home. If he called me in the next few minutes I wouldn't be able to answer. When I got home, I saw his car in it's parking space. What the heck? I checked the hood. Maybe he just got home? Nope, cold. I went in the apartment. The door was unlocked. I said, "Hello?" a couple of times as I hung up my coat. Nothing. I went into the living room. The TV was blaring away, and Fumihiko was lying on the couch. He wasn't moving at all. I said,"Are you okay?" a couple of times and no response. I finally touched him and he jumped. He opened his eyes and looked really surprised to see me. He'd been asleep for hours and didn't hear my phone calls. He looked really out of it...he had that groggy/sleepy thing going on so I didn't have the heart to get angry at him. Besides, it really was a nice evening to ride my bike. It certainly wasn't rainy or windy.
I dished up dinner, which was a bit dry, but still good. I made coffee and then we had some plain yogurt with frozen berries for dessert. It was good. I even did the dishes. Fumihiko did offer to take over, but I could tell he wasn't really awake yet. I sent him to bed.
I actually stopped just now because Fumihiko called to me. He was having a nightmare about an earthquake and wanted to see if he'd really been yelling. He hadn't been. Poor guy. I feel a bit worried about him. I hope he's okay. A good night's sleep should help.
During the day, I cottoned onto an idea to make this website a bit more blog-like. I will post this page in two places, so that people can bookmark to it and I can change it easily. I hope it works. Let me know if you like it or not!
Good night!
