Rainy then clear at night. Cold.
A pretty good day. I got up this morning on time! And maybe because I went to bed early I had a lot of energy this morning so I was on time! The only thing was when I left for work I couldn't remember if I'd packed a rather personal item of clothing in my back pack. Just to be on the safe side I ran back to the house and grabbed another one! Whew!
Work was extremely slow today. Although I was scheduled for 5 classes, only one happened. Sigh. And, of course it was the first one of the day. Bah. It did go quite well though. It was the Christmas lesson for kids. We did some review and then we did some singing. That was kind of fun. Then, I brought out the stamps. What a difference. It was amazing. The children really seemed to enjoy it, and got right into stamping. They all made some beautiful cards.
After the class I read the newspaper and then I went to Jusco to order some prints for one of my student's Mum. Then, I decided to buy a replacement pen so I went up to the third floor. Before I bought my pens, I had a snoop round the craft department. There was lots of stuff that I was interested in, but didn't buy any yet. Then, I paid for my pens, and noticed that there were more beading kits that I hadn't seen yet. Oh my! I went over and checked them out. They were great, and cheaper than the ones I have. I didn't buy any, but I just might if I finish at least one more of my beading kits! I'm not sure though.
I was also looking for ideas to make a wreath. Fumihiko brought me a base for one, I think he made it from a mountain vine, so now I want to know what to do with it. Hmm. The possibilities are endless!
The rest of the day at work I spent writing Christmas cards for students, planning for Tuesday and generally trying to keep busy. When 9 o'clock came I was ready to leave! Oh, one last thing though. I resigned today.
Yup, I sent in my resignation to my head office. I haven't really spoken about this much on my blog before, but my school will close in April. I could transfer within the company, but unfortunately there isn't a place close enough for me to live with my husband. Sigh.
After I finished, I called Fumihiko and he came and got me. We went out for dinner to M's Dining. It was okay!
We came home and he watched The Lord of the Rings: The Twin Towers on TV. I watched the very end of it with Fumihiko. I also started putting together one of my bead kits. It's interesting! I think I'll do a bit of adapting. Some of my pieces of wire are a bit short, so I'll do a little bit of creative work with the beads. Leaving one or two out for example. The two I've done look quite nice.
And that's my day so far. Fumihiko has to work tomorrow and has a Year End party (Bonenkai) after work so I get to have a Helen day. Maybe it's mean, but I'm really looking forward to it!
Gotta go. Night!
