Clear and cool, then rainy at night.
A great, wonderful day. I had a lovely "Helen" day. Fumihiko went off to work this morning and I slept in. I got up around 11 and did laundry. When I finished I went out.
First I went to see if I could get my hair cut. I was so lucky. Usually when I go the hairdresser is busy, but today there was no one in the shop. I got my hair cut really short again and I like it. I did like the way it looked when it was a bit longer and in the future I may try to grow it again, but I'm not sure. It drives me crazy and summers are so humid here.
After getting my hair cut I did a little shopping. I went to Jusco and got Fumihiko a few presents! I hope he likes them. Then, I went downstairs and got myself a couple of things for Christmas too. Christmas? Well, maybe just for me.
I had lunch along the way too, reading my latest Journal from my women's group. It was quite nice. Steak and hamburger.
I came home and unloaded my bike. I changed and put on one of the new things I bought and then I set off again for S-Mall. I got there and went shopping again. This time I really didn't buy that much. I got a couple of things in the 100 yen store and picked up some groceries. I liked that. I had planned to go out for dinner too, but I was tired and didn't want the hassle.
I came home again, ate and then watched a couple of movies. I watched Dave and Impromtu. Both great romantic movies. While I was watching I made up the rest of one of my beading kits. I now have 24 icicles hanging on my tree. Darn, it looks good.
I hope to go to bed soon, but I'm not sure if I will. No, I really should.
Oh, when I was heading down main street today I heard bells. I thought it might be some sort of Santa promotion, but actually it was a group of monks in their costumes going down main street collecting (I think). It was a really "Japan" moment.
Fumihiko will be back tomorrow morning. I'm a bit surprised really as he didn't phone me. He usually does when he goes away. Maybe he was having such a good time that he forgot about me? Hope not.
Gotta go, night night.
