December 22, 2004 - Wednesday

Cold with snow. Sigh, it's finally here.

A good day. I got up early, for me, and cleaned the toilet! Then I took a shower and got ready for Ritsuko to pick me up. She was earlier than she said, but I half expected her to be, so I was mostly ready for her.

We had lunch at Jiro where we had my favourite dish, the pork saute with garlic oil. It was very garlicky. Yum. After that we went shopping. She took me to a craft store that is run by one of my school's students. I've always wanted to go there, but for some reason my husband is afraid to stop there! After that, we tried to go to another place, but it was closed. We took a quick look around Kettle One and then she dropped me off at the mall. She had to take her dog for a walk.

I went shopping in the hundred yen shop and picked up a few things, then met up with Ritsuko again and we had coffee or tea in Doutours. We spent some time talking and a bit complaining about our mother in laws. I advised her to move out. It did amazing things for my life.

She drove me home and then left. About 10 minutes later my hubby arrived and we spent a bit of time together. We got a call from the travel agency too, telling us that we could pick up our tickets. So, since we were planning to go to the mall anyway, we went there and picked up our tickets. We paid too. Aren't we good people?

For dinner we had shabu shabu, but we couldn't eat for as long as Fumihiko might like. Our movie was starting at 8:50, so we only had 50 minutes! Still we ate a lot and I certainly was full when we left.

We went to see Man on Fire with Denzel Washington. I liked the movie, but since a lot took place in Spanish, missed a lot. Sigh. It was another tour de force for Denzel. He is such a great actor.

We came home and I spent about 20 minutes painting 2 pine cones with glitter nail varnish. They look really cool though and I'm sure when I put them on my other wreath will look very good! And that basically was my day. It was good, and quite jam packed with things. Hopefully, tomorrow will be good too.

Night night!
