December 21, 2004 - Tuesday

Cool with some snow. Didn't stay on the ground yet.

Last night ended strangely. I couldn't get Fumihiko to go to bed. He slept on the couch for a long time. I got him sitting up, but he wouldn't get up to come to bed. So, I stayed up reading and finished my book, Fingersmith. I was glad to get the chance because I really liked the book and wanted to know how it ended.

I got up a bit before 11 this morning and putzed around. I made up one kit of my tree decorations. It was very hard as I had to bend the wire by hand into a curlicue sort of shape. They look pretty, but aren't perfect.

I didn't work on my nengajo at all. I did a little bit of laundry, household stuff mostly, and then I surfed the internet a bit. I was looking for info on Hong Kong and other places.

I also made a quick trip to the post office to send a friend some magazines. Aren't I nice?

When Fumihiko came home I made him some coffee and then we went out to dinner. The first place we tried to go had no parking so we went to La Chance. When we got there we were surprised to see that they had changed their menu again. Oh my. There was nothing on the menu for me. Fumihiko asked the waitress, so she told us their meat and fish dishes. Whew! I could eat something after all. I had pork tenderloin and Fumihiko had duck. It was very good.

After dinner we went to the grocery store and picked up a few groceries. We went to Max Valu for a change. It was fine, and we got some stuff that our local grocery store doesn't carry.

We came home and we watched the lovely Keanu Reeves movie, A Walk in the Clouds. Fumihiko had never seen it before and I was a bit worried that he was bored, but he wasn't! He liked it too. It's so romantic, a bit unbelievable, but wonderful anyway. I love it.

While I watched the movie I worked on some of my latest tree decorations, snowflakes. The first one was a bit wonky, but once I figured out what to do, they are great. I think they are really pretty. I'm looking forward to putting them on the tree. If there's room! After them I still have another kit to do! I'm just a beading fool this Christmas!

And that was my day so far. I'm supposed to go out with friend tomorrow, and Fumihiko and I are planning to go out for dinner and a movie in the evening, so I might have a lot to talk about. You never know.

Gotta go...night night!
