November 23, 2004 - Tuesday

Clear and sunny day, quite warm too!

A pretty good day. This morning I slept in. Bed was really comfy today. We put our new quilt on our bed last night and it was so warm and light! Yay!

We went out for lunch to Moku-Moku. It was okay. I had a hamburger and salad, Fumihiko had duck. I think we both enjoyed it.

Then we went to Homac and went shopping! I bought a new chair for my computer desk. The one that came with the desk is a very uncomfortable! The seat part is too small for me. Sigh. This new one is comfy and it has some cushioning too. Yay. I also got myself a file cabinet for my stamps. It's tall and very nice.

We came home after that and Fumihiko had a nap. I read a bit and then it was time to go out for dinner. I promised Fumihiko I'd take him out for dinner. The Washington Hotel had an all you can eat steak dinner. It is his birthday, so I thought he'd like it! So, we went there. We got three steaks and ate them very quickly. I realized about that point that I'd just eaten 3 steaks in less than 30 minutes. We could stay there for 90 minutes so I was a bit worried about really over-eating! I sat out a couple of steaks and then had one more near the end. Now, please remember that these are Japanese style steaks, not Canadian so they aren't as big as you think!

We went to Doutours then for a cup of coffee or tea and then we did a little shopping. I got him a cream puff. I was going to get Fumihiko a nice piece of cake but I couldn't find any. Sorry dear. We also did some grocery shopping and then came home.

We watched TV for a while. Well, Fumihiko watched and I read my book. I'm still reading Amy Tan and really enjoying it. I like reading how writers think. I actually see a lot of similarities between her childhood and my living in Japan! The language thing especially.

After a bit I went to my spare room and found my stamps. I put then into my new cabinet. It's great. Most of my stamps fit in it, but I may need another cabinet to put my stamping stuff in. I mean things like papers, cards, stamp pads, powders, etc. However, I'm tickled pink that I could finally get things a little organized!

And so, that's what I did today. It was a nice putzy kind of day. Now that I have my Christmas presents wrapped I just have to box them up and send them off to North America. And my Christmas cards. I have to do them too! Argh!

Anyway, that's it for me. Hope tomorrow is good too. I'm back to work. Sigh. Night-night.
