Snow snow snow.
An okay day today. We slept in and then had coffee. We decided to go out for brunch as usual, but I refused to go to the Daiich Hotel. It's too high carb for my diet right now. We ended up going to the evil place, Edoichi. However, I'm pleased to report that I didn't eat too too much. And I didn't have any iced coffee. I think that is what makes me sick sometimes.
We did a lot of putzing around after lunch. We went to a new secondhand shop, then Fumihiko and I went to a hardware store. And there I saw it, for the first time in 8 years....WD 40. OH MY GOSH! I bought some, because that stuff is so useful. My bike needs a bit soon.
Fumihiko had to get some kerosene for his Mum so I asked him to leave me at a hundred yen shop and do that. I had a great time poking around the store. I know it bores him silly when I look at everything, so it was nice to have the time to do that.
After he met me, we went to karaoke for a couple of hours. It was fun. I did a song from The Phantom of the Opera...badly, and a Simply Red song, Holding Back the Years, that Fumihiko liked.
After karaoke, which was really cheap because we went early in the day, we had dinner at Dan. Yum. We had chicken done a couple of ways, asparagus and bacon, oysters and bacon and my favourite, pork-egg kimchee stirfry. Oooh, that was good.
We visited the grocery store, then came home. It was really cold at home but now it's getting better. The news said that it was going to snow around 60-80 cm here today and tomorrow. Bleck. I don't need that. I want to ride my bike to work, but I can't. Poor me!
Okay, on this homepage you've heard me complain about my hubby, or say what a really great guy he is, right? Well, this is one of those complaints that I have. When we're together in a store, he walks backwards. He doesn't turn around to see where he's going or whom he's going to run into, he just walks backwards. It drives me crazy. He does not have eyes in the back of his head, and he does not have ESP to know what's behind him. It drives me crazy. If he'd just stay back a bit from me he wouldn't have to do that. He looms over me all of the time when I shop. I'm getting used to that, even though I hate it. But, the backward walking--awful.
Anyway, It's getting late, and I'm on my way to bed soon. Hope where you are is snug and cosy. Night!
