Cloudy and a bit cool.
A pretty good, but quiet day. I went to bed late last night, and couldn't get up on time this morning. Oh well.
I did a couple of loads of laundry and some prep work for dinner. I was making a stirfry for dinner and cutting up the veggies takes a long time. I didn't do it all, just a lot.
At lunch today I finished my book too. I've been reading Brave New World for a week or so. I've enjoyed it a lot. It's a timeless story.
Fumihiko came home and we spent some time together, then I cooked dinner. I asked him before I got started to help me out by making coffee, setting the table, that kind of thing. Well, he stood around looking like a bump on a log, and I gently suggested that he start the coffee then set the table. He did make coffee, but setting the table took a bit of time.
Tonight's dinner was pork stirfry and if I say so myself, it was good! It's an old recipe that I haven't used in years. It used to be my "company recipe" the one I'd make for my friends coming over. I made it up in two batches as my wok pan wasn't quite big enough. Fumihiko really seemed to enjoy it.
After Fumihiko did the dishes we went to the grocery store. I'd forgotten to get myself eggs and some breakfast stuff last night. We came home just in time for ER. We watched it tonight. It was pretty good. Neela took a job in a convenience store and Susan brought her baby into the ER. Fumihiko asked me at the end of the show how Jin Mei was. I don't know! She wasn't in the episode. Argh! Oh well, I shouldn't complain. ER is difficult for me to understand sometimes and English isn't his first language after all.
We had a veggie evening after that. He took a bath, I listened to music on my computer and wrote this entry. Yay me.
Tomorrow looks like it'll be a busy day as Fumihiko is taking time off to take me to the bank. Should be fun...Not! Wish me luck.
