Hot and sunny.
Today was an okay day. I slept in really late though, as I didn't go to bed until4 ish last night. When I got up I did some damage with Fumihiko's credit card! I booked a hotel and reserved a rental car for us, so that was rather good!
We had lunch at M's Dining today. The place was hopping busy. The food was pretty good too. We had the same thing, chicken and hamburger with soup bar and drink bar. We had a nice lunch, even talked to each other once in a while.
After lunch we went to a drugstore, then home for a while. We both became glued to our computers and didn't put them away for hours. In the evening, a bit after 9 we went out for dinner.
We planned to go out to Benkeis but it was closed, probably due to O-bon, so we went to the other izakaya that we frequent. It was busy and loud, but the food was great tonight. We had my favourite there, eggplant with melted cheese on it, and salad, sashimi, yakitori, pork and kimchee fry, and some pickles. Fumihiko had a couple of noodle dishes too.
We came home via the grocery store to get drinks. We watched a movie at home tonight, Always. It was Fumihiko's request. It's a Japanese movie, but it has English subtitles. I watched it with him, but was not impressed overall. Many of the actors were terrible and their actions didn't ring true. There were a few though that were great, and I enjoyed those characters. Honestly, that's a problem I've had with most of the Japanese television that's on too. The acting is amateurish at best. I rarely see anyone just "being" on screen.
For the last couple of hours now I've been writing email. I've been trying to clear my inbox. It's been getting full. I didn't have much time this week it seemed.
