Too hot and very sunny.
A good day. I got up at a reasonable time today, as I had places to go and people to see! I showered and checked email, the usual stuff. Around 11:30 I rode off on my bike to S-Mall. I was going to meet someone at 12.
When I got to the mall, so did she! She had to go and buy a bus ticket, so we did that, then went and had lunch at the Daiichi Hotel. It was pretty good today. I had a lot of different foods, she just ate a little bit, but hey, no big whoop!
After lunch we hopped on our respective bicycles and went to see my school. My home is about halfway to the school from the mall, so I'd never biked that distance before and didn't know how long it would take. It was so very hot, it seemed like forever, but probably was 25 minutes or so. At the school, I turned on the air conditioner and got us some drinks. We explored my school and talked for a while. It was fun showing off my little place again.
We left the school after a bit and biked back. I stopped by my apartment turnoff to say goodbye. I was sad to see her leave, we had a great little visit. When I got back to my apartment I did something smart. I pumped up my bike tires. They had been a little soft for a while.
I vegged for a while, then left for my school again. I went via the convenience store to grab a salad for a snack. The school was hot again, but not too bad, so I cooled it down, ate and then did dishes. I prepared my next class with this student and then got ready to teach. Tonight's class was about telling time and it was very good. I think it's the sort of class that people take for granted as being easy, but it really isn't. There's all sorts of hidden meanings in asking for the time!
I tidied up after the class, and then called hubby. He sounded tired again. I went to the grocery store on the way home to get a few things. I got some lettuce, and I can't remember what else I got. Oh well.
When I came home, I started working on dinner right away. Tonight's dining delight was Tacos. They turned out pretty well, I used mostly ground pork but added some ground chicken so they'd be a little lighter. I had tacos in lettuce shells, Fumihiko had the actual shells. We ate a lot, but didn't eat it all. You know what that means, right? Taco omelettes! Yeah.
We spent the evening on our computers. We did a bit of swearing at the computers too. I tried to order text books but had a bit of difficulty and he tried to reserve a hotel room and had a bit of difficulty. I think we both succeeded in the end. Yay. I also found a link on Bong Bong that made my day. A Canadian comedian interviewing Americans to see what they thought of things in Canada. It was hysterical. At one point he told some Americans that Toronto had decided to re-instate the Polar Bear Hunt*. And they said that they thought it was a terrible thing to do. My favourite was when they asked if troops should end the troubles in East Timor by bombing West Edmonton Mall!** Bah hah hah!
And that was my day. I'm feeling tired because of the heat and the exercise, Fumihiko is tired because of the heat too. He also has a fat lip. He was bitten by a horsefly or something and his lip has swollen. I hope it gets better soon. He has a hard time with bugs. They do love him though.
Gotta go! Night.
I hope I don't have to explain this but....* There is no Polar Bear Hunt in Toronto. There aren't any polar bears there ('cept maybe in a zoo). Toronto is a huge city.
**West Edmonton Mall is the largest shopping center in the world. It's in my hometown.
