Cold with a dusting of snow.
A pretty good day.We went to bed really late last night and slept in a bit this morning. I finally got up and showered. Then we went to have brunch at the Daiichi Hotel. It was quite good today, but we had to leave a bit after 1:30.
Fumihiko took me to the dentist. It wasn't too bad today. I had a bit of pain when he did some drilling or something, but he put the filling/crown in permanently. Yay. I'm done. He told me that I can either leave my wisdom teeth for now, come back and get them done with him, or contact the hospital and have them taken out there. I'm going with option A at the moment. I do want to confirm what he says with a dentist that I know and trust, so I'm going to wait and try to talk to my dentist next time I go to Canada. There wasn't time to schedule an appointment last time I was home.
After the dentist, I made Fumihiko run around Tsuruoka for a while. We mailed Christmas Cards at the post office ( I wasn't asked where Scotland is this year!!!), deposited money at a bank machine and picked up my bike. I rode my bike home as it was easier than loading it up and then unloading it again.
We headed out to the mall a little later. Fumihiko got a massage and I got 30 blissful minutes alone to do shopping or anything I wanted! I bought underwear. Here in Japan ladies seem to wear long underwear all winter. I've got some and found it does really help keep me warm. I have terrible circulation so I'm often cold inside the house or school. I got a couple of undershirts. One has long sleeves, and one has short. The short is probably more useful to me as I hate wearing long sleeves!
After I met Fumihiko again we wandered down the mall to the theatre. We went to see Casino Royale. I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure if I would like Daniel Craig as Bond, but I did. He was great. It was a terrific action film, and if that's your cup of tea, well worth seeing.
When the movie was over, we went to Seattle's Best Coffee for our ground decafe and a cappucino each. Yum. Fortified by caffeine and foam, we went back to Tsuruoka. We had dinner at the Japanese restaurant near our home and then bought groceries.
We came home and watched a bit of TV. ER was on, but it was a repeat of an old one. It was good, but I didn't really watch it. I was surfing the net.
And that's about it for the night. It was a pretty good day for a change. I haven't been able to say that for a while, but I totally deserved a good one.
Back at work tomorrow, with a lot of things to do. I should tackle my laundry, plus I've promised to cook dinner tomorrow night. I'm thinking about making a sort of soupy/stew thing if I can figure out just how to do it! It also has to be low-carb with chicken in it, and I want to use my slow cooker.
Got to go! Night night.
