Warm and sunny, snow is starting to melt.
Well, today started out okay, but went downhill as soon as we came home. That's a long story, so I'd better get to it.
I caught an early bus to Sendai yesterday and went shopping. I bought a lot of things, but my favourite is a new coat. It's gorgeous, an A-line shape so very forgiving, considering it's about two sizes too small! It's sort of a camel colour. I'm not sure where I'll be able to wear it around here, but I'll try.
I checked into the hotel last evening, then went to Maruzen books and bought --books! Hurray for me. I got a lot of interesting ones. I just hope I can find time to read them all.
Fumihiko finally arrived and then met me in the hotel. We went out for dinner to an izakaya I'd been to before with some friends. We had a nice mixture of things, yakitori, sashimi and even "gengis khan". It was all nice. We went back to the hotel where Fumihiko had a massage and I read a bit. He studied for an hour and then it was bedtime.
In the morning I put my stuff in the car, then we had breakfast. It was okay. After we ate, Fumihiko went off for his exam and I took a shower and then checked out of the hotel.
I walked down to E.Beans and got a couple of magazines. Nothing too exciting, one was a hair magazine, the other a Japanese Culture magazine in English. I was in a HMV store buying a couple of dvds when I got a call from Fumihiko saying that he was done and would head back to the hotel.
I met him and we went to the Sendai mall. We had lunch there and then I bought some more magazines at the bookstore. Finally we ended by having coffee or tea at Starbucks.
We drove home, listening to tunes on my iPod. Gosh I love that thing! We stopped in Sagae for a quick break, then continued on home.
When we arrived that's when it happened. Fumihiko picked a fight with me and left in a huff. He came back home around 11, hasn't spoken to me which means he's still mad at me. Oh dear. (I'm editing a lot of my unspoken comments because, after all, this is a family website.) He has to work tomorrow, but I really don't care.
Oh, I read some sad news on the internet today. Yesterday, Shelley Winters died. I really liked her. I wasn't too familiar with her acting if I'm honest (except for Roseanne where she was hysterical), but I read both of her autobiographies and laughed myself silly. I loved how she'd describe her open toed shoes....sometimes she shared them with Marilyn Monroe. They were her FM* shoes.
Well, that was my weekend. It was nice, too bad I had to come home.
Night.
*Read her books or use your imagination to figure out what that means!
