Cold and snowy. What a surprise!
A good day. I got up this morning at my now regular time, drank some coffee, checked my email. The usual. I also prepared the tandori sauce, and marinated the chicken in it, then took my shower and made a late brunch for myself.
For some reason in the evening I got in a cleaning mood. I wiped down the balcony window in the tatami room, then vacuumed. I even took an empty box and two zaisus out to our storage unit. While I was out there, I noticed that our parking space had disappeared! It was completely hidden by the snow, so I decided to find it for my hubby.
I shoveled snow for a while. I wasn't wearing a watch so it was probably around 30 minutes, but it felt like more. I managed to clear out most of the snow. Some of it was frozen and really packed so I couldn't move it.
Fumihiko got home after 7. He was very grateful for me cleaning the snow. Yay. I asked him to take me shopping as I needed a few more things before I cooked dinner.
We went to the store, picked up a few things, then came home again. I grilled the tandori chicken. This time I used chicken breasts and they were much easier than the legs. I grilled them, cooked the veggies, and put out the salad. I got Fumihiko to prepare the strawberries and to whip the cream for dessert.
I think I slightly overcooked the chicken, but Fumihiko raved about it. He enjoyed the meal very much. I enjoyed it too, but my chicken was a little too tough on top. His chicken piece was a bit bigger so I think it was okay.
We did dishes and watched the movie on NHK tonight, Hanging Up. It was okay. It wasn't great. A bit of a chick flick, and not in a good way!
Now, Fumihiko is snoozing on the couch and I'm updating my homepage. Not sure what tomorrow's plan will be. Hopefully it'll be good.
Night night.
