June 4, 2006 - Sunday

Sunny and hot day.

Today was a great day. I slept in this morning, even though I didn't go to bed too too late again. When I got up, I checked email and stuff, the usual. Fumihiko went over to his Mum's to pick up some strawberries, then came back.

We had lunch in Cocos, then went to the Mall to see a movie. We were two hours early so we did a little shopping. Fumihiko got socks and I got a t-shirt and a gift for Katie-chan. We also had a coffee at the coffee shop.

We went to see Poseidon today. It was okay. I enjoyed some of it, the special effects were good, but I did think it was a bit odd that the people rushing trying to get out through the bottom didn't meet anybody else that was still alive. I wish I had a copy of the original novel. I read it many times in Junior High and High School. It was one of my favourites. I loved Paul Gallico.

After the movie we had dinner in the mall, at the yakiniku restaurant. It was okay, but not great. They had a special on - salad, meat, bibinba (korean rice dish served in a hot stone bowl), veggies, dessert and umeshu (alcoholic drink). What they didn't tell us was we only got 6 pieces of meat! I didn't eat the bibinba of course, and we didn't drink the drink or eat the dessert, so I was still a bit hungry after all. Fumihiko ordered another dish of meat which really helped me. Yay.

We came home to Tsuruoka and hit the grocery store for tomorrow's dinner. It'll be good I think.

At home Fumihiko took a shower and then we got ready to watch a dvd. We made strawberry smoothies first. I put ice cubes, strawberries and yogurt in the blender and blended it. Yummy! It was very very good. A little bitter as the strawberries weren't terribly sweet, but nice.

Our dvd de jour was Must Love Dogs. Fumihiko has/had a thing for Diane Lane, and I have a thing for John Cusack so it worked out well. It wasn't the greatest movie ever made, but it was okay. I think it was good for watching at home. In a theatre I might be annoyed at having to pay so much.

And that's it. Our day is winding down. Fumihiko is back to work tomorrow, for 6 days straight, poor thing. I have to do some prepping for the school, for Fumihiko. I have to teach him how to sell my classes!

"Anyway, it's goodnight from me."

"And it's goodnight from him."

(Can anyone place my quote???) Night.
