Rainy all day.
Today wasn't the best day I've had in a while. Hubby's back/arm/leg/neck were bothering him and he was kind of cranky all day. It was the kind of crankiness where he wouldn't even complain about it, but it meant that he wasn't his usual nice self.
I slept in quite late and when I got up took a shower. We went out after that. I had to visit a bank machine and Fumihiko needed gas for the car. We talked about lunch but didn't know where to go. On the way to the gas station, we passed a restaurant that we tried once before and decided to go there. It was nice. I had a hamburg and Fumihiko had chicken.
After lunch it was almost time for me to go to the dentist, so we drove there. I went in and brushed my teeth and flossed a bit. When I got in to see the dentist he put the newly made cap on my teeth and then told me to come back in a couple of weeks. What? Wasn't I done? Apparently not. This is only a temporary bond to see if the cap thingy fits properly. Whatever. I don't care. I think I'll try to find a new dentist for any work after this. It's not that I don't trust this guy, it's that I'm not a big fan of dentists in the first place.
We were out of the clinic in an almost record 30 minutes and then headed out to the mall. First we went to the bookstore and I got a couple of things. Then, we went into the mall proper. I visited the food floor for some things...mostly sunflower seeds...and then Fumihiko decided to have a massage again. He knew that the movie was going to start at 4:20 and it was now 3:50. He wanted a 30 minute one. Talk about not learning anything from last night. I said that if he wanted to do that we should go to a later show. We nearly got into an argument about the whole thing again and I was truly ticked off. Finally he went upstairs and made an appointment for 5:30. That was fine as the show after that was at 6:30. He could have the massage and then we'd have enough time for my movie. As it was now around 4:00 we did a bit of wandering around. I got tired of following him everywhere and I just decided to let him do it. A few minutes later I noticed him wandering around the store, looking like he was looking for me. I tried to wave, but he never looked directly at me, and then disappeared around a corner. I tried to call, but hung up before he answered. Finally he came back into view and I went to talk to him. I told him that I was obviously annoying him and so I'd rather go off and do my own thing for a couple of hours. I'd meet him later. We agreed to do that.
I did more shopping and got something for my nephew.Yay. I wandered around, looking at things that husbands get totally bored at, then just before 5:30 bumped into my husband. He was heading for the massage place. I got the car keys from him so that I could put my shopping in the car. At the right time, I waited for him to finish the massage, but it didn't end on time. I think it was about 10 minutes past before he got out. Then they always give us tea at the end, so he had to have that. We got to the theatre on time, thank goodness. I got the pop and popcorn while Fumihiko got the tickets. We went into the theatre and discovered that our seats were in the first half of the theatre. Hubby had made a mistake when he bought the tickets. We usually sit in the second half. He decided to try to change the tickets although I suggested that we just move when the movie started. I left the popcorn and stuff at our seats and went to the washroom. When I came back, Fumihiko was sitting in our new seats and the popcorn and pop was still at our old seats. Whatever! I grabbed the stuff and went over to join him.
I really liked the movie, Children of Men. It's based on a PD James novel that I read a few years ago. It had been updated a bit and was quite socially relevant. It had also been changed quite a bit from the novel, but not in a bad way. You can check out my movie page if you want to see my review.
When the movie finished we came back to Tsuruoka and had dinner at M's Dining. It was nice. I had steak and hubby had hamburger. Then, we hit the grocery store and got some stuff for tomorrow's dinner. Then, home.
I made coffee and we spent time on our respective computers for the rest of the evening. He's only just gone off to bed. I should probably go to sleep soon too. I don't have a busy day tomorrow, but I should do some wrapping of Christmas gifts or writing of cards. Sigh. Oh, what fun! It is, but it's also hard work at times!
Got to go! Night.
