Sunny, but rainy in the evening.
Today was okay. I slept in this morning as I didn't have to be anywhere and Fumihiko wasn't around! He was at work. It was nice for me. I felt terribly decadent getting up around....well, never mind when!
I spent a lot of time on my computer then realized that I was supposed to make soup. I started, but didn't get very far! I got out the slow cooker, and the half thawed piece of chicken and my asparagus water from the other night. I defrosted the chicken in the microwave and then browned the outside. I also got out some of the stock ice cubes that I'd put in the freezer before and set them out to thaw. I'm not supposed to put frozen foods into the slow cooker. That's about all I've done with the soup today.
I did do a bit of cleaning. Not a lot mind you, but some. I swept the floor. It really needed it.
When hubby came home we spent a bit of time together before going out to dinner. We went to Togashi's, the yakiniku place we like. We had a nice meal and then headed out to the mall. At the mall I looked in the handbag shop for a handbag. All my dressy bags are at Fumihiko's house and I'll need him to get me one for next weekend. He hasn't done it yet, so I'm trying to make contingency plans! However, I really didn't like any of the bags in that shop. They were either the wrong colour, wrong size or just plain old yuck. What's with all the fur this year? I wouldn't use a fur handbag....that just seems wrong somehow. In my mind, there are only two classes of beings that should wear real fur, animals and the Inuit. The rest of us just don't need it. I'm not militant or anything, I just don't want it for me!
We wandered around after that. I wanted to look at household goods for the wedding we're going to go to soon, but couldn't decide on anything. Weddings here just don't give "gifts" unless you are good friends. Well, I am good friends with the couple, but I don't know what they'd like or need.
We ended up at the coffee shop again and had coffee. I tried a mocha tonight and it was very nice. It didn't seem sweet at all. I hope that's a good thing.
We went to see The Lady in the Water tonight. It's the latest from M. Night Shyamalan. I liked it, for the little things about it. I liked peeking into people's apartments to see how they lived, I liked Paul Giamatti as the Super, and the ideas. I think it needed more work on it before he released it, but I enjoyed it.
We came home via Mosburgers for a late snack. Since we came home we haven't done much, just gaming on our respective computers. I think I'll go to bed soon as I'm tired now. It is late after all!
Night.
