Warm and sunny, then warm and rainy.
A mostly good day. I went to bed late last night and was awakened at 7:30 this morning by someone making coffee. Note to self, next time you buy the coffeepot, check out what the noise level is like! Only buy a quiet one next time. I took the rude and loud awakening lying down....then going back to sleep.
I rowsed myself a bit before 10 I think and had a shower. I did email after that and drank some of the loud coffee, which even all those hours later tasted good.
I got dressed to go out. I wore a pair of black pants and a black shirt that I bought. Fumihiko actually gave me a compliment! He said "You know, you look good in black!" Wow. He almost never compliments me about that kind of thing!
Anyway, he drove me to the bookstore and we waited for a few minutes, since we were early. We saw one of my ex-students, one that I always worried about. He didn't talk to me, but I did say "hello". My friend arrived on time and we went off to have lunch. We decided to go to Moku-Moku. We had a great time. We chatted for hours! I think the restaurant people thought we'd stay forever. Oh well. Too bad for them!
She brought me home and then I met up with my lovely hubby again. We chatted about this and that and went out for dinner. We went to M's Dining and had a big meal! We had the mixed grill set. It was pretty good actually.
We came home via the grocery store to get a certain malt beverage that my hubby likes and then I got busy for a while. I finished my packing (she says while she crosses her fingers hoping it's true.) I have my passport and my travellers cheques. I even discovered that I have $250 extra dollars from one of my other trips home, so that's very cool. Yay me. And I have a bit of cash too.
I'm really tired tonight because of the lack of sleep last night. We worked out that we have to get up early tomorrow morning too, especially if we want to have breakfast first. And I think we do. It's very sad, but I should eat because I'm not a nice person if I'm hungry.
So that's about it. I'm planning to hit the sack fairly soon. I'll be gone for a while, so don't miss me. I may be able to blog from my sister's home, but I'm not sure if I will. On this trip I have my hubby with me so I might not be able to. If all goes well, I'll be back around the 19th of this month. If not, well, who knows?
