June 26, 2007 - Tuesday

Hot, muggy, and sunny.

Last night as I wrote there was a thunderstorm. It rained most of the night. However, when I got up it was hot and sunny again. Amazing how quickly the weather changes here.

I had a low key, quiet morning. I did watch some of the US news, but then ended up napping again before taking my shower. In the afternoon I did a lot of stuff on my computer before making my lunch.

I had two classes at the school today and they both went quite well. My second student of the day had great news. She's going to the US in August. I'm excited for her, and a little jealous too!

After my classes I relaxed, and did paperwork. Then I did my dishes and called my husband. He came to get me...what a sweetie.

When we got home we turned on the air conditioner as it was really hot in the apartment. He hadn't opened the windows when he got home. For some reason, hubby doesn't feel temperature like I do. He thinks it's a side effect of the car accident he had a few years ago. He can't tell the difference between too hot or hot, too cold or cold. Course, he didn't tell me that until after we'd moved out of his draughty old house. I'd spent three years thinking I was crazy in winter for being cold in our bedroom...nope. I was cold...he just couldn't recognize that it was cold.

We had coffee and then I made dinner. Tonight was sort of an Asian fusion thing. I had half a zucchini left, so I sliced it and then halved the slices. I stir-fried a bit of pork then took it out and drizzled some oyster sauce over it. Into the same pan, I put the zucchini and stir fried it. Then, I added in a bag of prepared veggies from the store. It was a mix of cabbage, bean sprouts, nila (no idea what it is!), and carrots. I mixed it up a bit, added some soy sauce, and put a lid on it for a couple of minutes to steam, then put the pork back into it, and stirred it all around. Then, I put the lid on again. About a minute later, it was ready. Hubby really liked it, and so did I! Not much fuss at all. In fact, if I hadn't added the zucchini it would have been even faster!

Hubby did the dishes for me...not that there was a lot and I did my computer stuff for the evening. Around 11 we watched Monk, which was okay. It took place on a farm and one of the special guests was the man who plays Carlos on Desperate Housewives.

And that was that! My day. Not too bad actually. Tomorrow I have a class that starts a bit earlier than today, so I have to be up and going a lot earlier than I was today. Still, I think I can make it.

Talk to you tomorrow. Night.
