Cloudy and a bit rainy.
A pretty good day today really. I didn't go to bed early at all, but did manage to get up fairly early. Yay me. I showered and then waited for Fumihiko to come home. He was a bit late, but he phoned me to tell me that he was coming home. Yay.
We had a quick and fairly decent brunch at Gusto, then Fumihiko dropped me off at my school. I got ready for my first class, and then taught my student. Class went well. This student is a lot of fun to teach. After her class, I said goodbye and then did a bit of work. I decided to check that my other class for today was ready, then thought, I should probably prepare for Tuesday's first class, then I prepared for the Saturday's students that didn't come this week. I got them all prepped too. Yay me. I was relaxing over a cup of iced mint tea and reading a novel when my cell phone rang. My next student was calling to cancel. Oh dear. She did book another lesson for Tuesday night, so I'll be quite busy.
I did some paperwork, mostly financial stuff that needed to be done, and then called Fumihiko and asked him to come and get me. He did. We went to the drugstore because I needed to buy some things for my school. We did that, then went for dinner.
Fumihiko suggested a few places that I wasn't interested in, then he suggested Hyakkutenbori, by one of the universities. We went there, and had a great meal. We had salad, macha tofu, cold soup, oysters, beef skewer, and then chocolate soup for dessert! It was a very interesting meal. We had their set menu, we didn't choose what we would get, but it was all really delicious. Yum.
After our meal we went to the book store in Tsuruoka. They used to have English books, but they don't anymore. They did have a couple of Harry Potters in English, which was fun to see, but I've already read them. I looked around, but didn't buy anything. Fumihiko got a travel book. We came home afterwards.
The rest of the evening was quiet. I watched my Saturday night shows, and enjoyed them. I'm not sure if Fumihiko did, but he gamely watched them with me. He doesn't like police shows and I do, so it can cause some conflicts!
That was it for my day. It was quite nice, and I enjoyed myself. Hopefully tomorrow will be as good.
