Hot and sunny day. Gorgeous.
Today was a pretty good day. It even started last night. I went to bed early (for me). 3 am...I went to bed, and I even fell asleep right away. Lately I've been lying awake for hours before I fall asleep.
I got up this morning at a bit after 9 (earliest time in ages) and I stayed up. Yeah. I showered and spent a bit of time on my computer. I cooked myself a lovely omelette and sat down to a couple of funny episodes of Corner Gas.
I took myself off to my school and set up for the day. Of course, I'd left it mostly set up, but I had a couple of things to do. I taught my class when the student came and it went quite well. We laughed a lot which is good.
I had 3 hours until my next class, so I prepared another class for the last student, then set up for my 6:00pm student. That took a long time. The thing I dislike about my textbook is that I have to look for my teacher's cards. They are double sided, and it takes forever to find the ones that I'm looking for. The good thing is that I can use them again tomorrow and don't have to search madly for them! While I was prepping I realized that I needed some realia...a drink box. I went out to the store to get one. I don't drink juice, so I'll just keep it, or feed it to my husband when I'm done with it.
When my student came, he came in with his mother and we had a bit of a laugh. Then, she left and we got down to business. Well, today was one of his good days. He was funny and co-operative. He was the opposite of the way he was last week. Hurray for that!
My last class of the day went quite well and we played a form of Jeopardy. That was fun and the student enjoyed herself. She left, but will be back tomorrow.
Fumihiko came and picked me up a bit after 9. We didn't really have any plans so we went to Moku-Moku for a nice meal. Lately, that place has been growing on me. I had chicken cutlet and Fumihiko had lamb.
We bought a few groceries after dinner and then came home. Fumihiko has been thinking of taking a vacation in September and I was checking on some of the hotels that he mentioned. I'm not sure if we're going to go, but it sounds interesting. I keep you posted!
Anyway, I'll catch you later. Tomorrow I have a couple of classes so I'll be at the school for a few hours. It'll be nice, I hope. Night!
