October 10, 2007 - Wednesday

Sunny, but cooler.

Today was okay, but a bit strange! It's odd to say that, but it's true. When I got up this morning, Fumihiko had already gone to the hospital. I got up, made the bed, and was thinking about taking my shower, but was actually surfing the net, when he came back home. He was already done. For that he took a day off work?? Bah.

I showered and when I came back had some coffee. He was hungry as usual and wanted to go out for lunch. I usually cook my lunch at home, and much later too, so I wasn't too enthusiastic about going out.

Finally, we went out around 12 to Bronco. We had a nice lunch. I was really surprised that there wasn't a lunch crowd in the restaurant. It was very quiet today. We finished by a bit after one, then Fumihiko dropped me off at my school. My class wasn't until 3, so I wasn't really that happy to be taken there so early, but his alternate plans all included going halfway across the city first, so I really didn't want to do them either! At my school I read my book for a while, changed and got ready for my class.

Class was fine, and afterwards I did the dishes, read some more, and called Fumihiko to come and get me. We went home, spent a bit of time together, then changed into nicer clothes.

We had an okay dinner at Gusto then went over to a doctor's office. One of my husband's doctors has an English Gathering every week, and he invited us this week. We went and had an interesting evening chatting in English with some local people and one Canadian.

Afterwards, Fumihiko and I bought some groceries at MaxValu. I'm going to make a stirfry tomorrow night...a chicken and tofu one. I think it sounds good, doesn't it?

We came home and watched Desperate Housewives together. It was very interesting today. Bree got married, Carlos and Gabrielle's baby was born, with unexpected results, and Susan went on a date with the new guy on the show. He's Dougray Scott in real life, and thanks to the IMDB I know that he's Scottish and from a place where my mother used to live/work when she was young. How cool is that? And, why don't they let him have a Scottish accent? Few things are sexier on a man than a Scottish accent. Oh....you mean, that's just me that thinks so? Oops.

Anyway, that's about it for my day. It was okay. Fumihiko will be back at work tomorrow, but he's got to go to the hospital twice next week. He's having severe back and neck problems and hasn't had any improvement in the problem. I can't even remember the last time that he wasn't in pain. It's hard on him...he's an ex-jock and his body is betraying him. There's very little that I can do for him. I wish there was something. I hope the doctors find a way to help him soon.
