Rainy, snowy, kind of a bad day weather-wise!

I went to bed earlier than Fumihiko last night, but somehow managed to sleep an hour or so more than him. Still, it was nice to sleep in today and not have to worry about alarms or anything. When I did get up we decided to go out for lunch to a place we used to go until they moved. We never really figured out where they moved to. Well, we drove there and just as we finished parking the car, they turned over the "open" sign. Oh no! Too late by 2 minutes! Fumihiko suggested another place we went to once, and that's where we went. It was nice, it's near the concert hall and across from city hall. I had pasta, homemade bacon and spinach, while Fumihiko had a more Japanese style lunch. They were both nice.

Afterwards we went to the mall in Mikawa. There we separated to do some Christmas shopping. I went off and had a good old shop. It was rather fun. I got his stuff for Christmas, and NONE of it was anything we looked at yesterday. I think he'll like it though. We we met up and had a cup of coffee. Fumihiko was having my gift wrapped, so after coffee we headed back to Jusco. I wanted to look in the alcohol section. I'm having a Christmas pudding on Christmas day and I want to serve it en flambe so I needed brandy. I don't drink brandy, so I didn't want to buy a big bottle. I just wanted a miniature. I found one. I could have bought the 900 plus yen one, but I went for the under 400 yen one! I'm going to set fire to it, not drink it. Fumihiko went upstairs to get my gift, and I went to the bakery and bought whole wheat bread and other kinds of bread that aren't pale white and soft and boring.

We drove home for a while and played on our computers. Fumihiko finally got a bit hungry so we went out to a soba restaurant for, well, soba. Weren't you listening? It was quite nice. We had a meat soup and then some mixed tempura with it. Yum.

We came home to watch a dvd, so that's what we did. Fumihiko chose Lethal Weapon so we watched it. I haven't seen it in ages, but it's still quite good. There's a few things that didn't stand the test of time...Murtaugh's "portable phone" looks like a telephone with a car battery attached, and Mel's mullet, but all in all, it's a good action movie. I think Fumihiko was disappointed because it was a cop drama. He just hates them. He always tells me how unrealistic they are, but I don't care! Besides, Mel was so buff in those days. He really made my heart go pitter patter in the old days. Now...not so much!

Fumihiko and I then just spent a quiet night around the house. He was supposed to take a bath, but didn't. I think it's too late for him to do it now. He's sleeping away. He's off work tomorrow too. I'm hoping to go either to karaoke or to a movie. Either would be fun for me!

And that was my day. It was surprisingly good, considering how bad the couple of days before this were. Got to go. Night night.
