August 4, 2008 - Monday

Muggy and hot, not very sunny.

A good day. Fumihiko didn't have a good night last night and tossed and turned a lot. That meant that I didn't have a good night either. However, I did get up before 8:00 am this morning and surprised even myself! I did watch foreign news, it just wasn't in any language that I'm fluent in. Sigh. I kept planning to go back to bed, but didn't.

I had a quiet day at home. I watched the weekend's TV and it was okay. The only bad point was we must have had a thunderstorm during CSI because the sound kept switching to Japanese and back to English. I'll try to catch the repeat later this week.

In the afternoon I decided to go out for my coffee break. I rode off to the mall, checked out the hundred yen shop, but didn't spend much there, then had a latte and a sandwich at Doutors. I also got a little start on my friend's request. She's asked me to bring her Royal Milk Tea when I come over. She really loves it.

I came home and was here for a few minutes before Fumihiko phoned and then came home. When he arrived I asked him to fix my bike. Today the light bracket had come loose and it wouldn't stay up properly. Nice guy that he is, he fixed it for me.

We had a snuggle on the bed after that and both promptly fell asleep for a couple of hours. It was almost eight before I woke up.

We went out to a Japanese restaurant for dinner. A new one had opened last month. It's a chain that does soba and tempura. I had soba and tempura and it was really nice. Fumihiko had unagi on rice with soba. Unagi (eel) is supposed to give people stamina for the summer heat.

We came home via the grocery store. Fumihiko said that he was going to cook dinner tomorrow night, so I'm going to let him do it! He'll make a stirfry, but it will probably be different from mine.

At home, we decided to watch a dvd, so Fumihiko chose Enchanted. It wasn't my first choice for tonight, but it is a fun little movie, so I didn't mind. We enjoyed it and now I have the music going through my head. Amy Adams was so good in that role. She's definitely an actress to watch.

He's finally gone off to bed and I think I'll be off soon too. Tomorrow I should have one class in the evening, but I'm not really sure if the student will show up or not. I hope so if I go over to the school.
