Hidden internal lies It's only me I get afraid of the dark sometimes I can't see When the light shines I find it's only me - Matt Scannell "It's Only Me" Here's a photo of me in my normal place, behind the wheel of my car Hmm . . . what about me . . . I'm a second year student at the University of California at Davis. I think I will major in Molecular and Cellular Biology, maybe do a double with Biological Anthropology if I can. I am interested in studying certain parts of the cell, especially the Golgi complex. I would like to get my doctorate some day, because I really like the way Dr. Mikayla Waugh sounds (ok, so there are other reasons). However, that is WAY down the line. I grew up in Fresno, CA. I think it's claim to fame is that it has the highest car theft rate in the US. I went to Bullard TALENT (a magnet school for the arts and performing arts) from kindergarten through 6th grade, Computech (a magnet school for computers and science) for 7th and 8th grade, and to Fresno High School for 9th through 12th grades. I did a lot of things, and eventually I will get a resume together and share it so that if you are interested in it, you can check it out. I grew up swimming, I think I got in the pool when I was seven or eight, and I never left. Yes, this was year-round. I swam for a team called the Fig Garden Dolphins and then for the Clovis Swim Club. The Dolphins have since moved to a bigger pool, and so they no longer go by that name . . . I think they are the Fresno Dolphins, but I am not entirely sure. Clovis still goes by the same name as far as I know. By the time I got to high school, I was tired of swimming all the time, but the chlorine was in my blood (still is), so I took up playing water polo. That is the greatest sport ever invented! :) I played throughout high school on my school team, and on club teams. I have some fun stories about that . . . I was even featured in an article in the newspaper on girls in guys sports my sophomore year, since I was the only girl on the Varsity team. Maybe I will put up those stories later.
