After seeing many magnificent tombstones, I decided they would make an interesting subject. Again, silhouette subjects located perfectly on a hill are hard to come by.

I probably could have saved this landscape format with an f4 or f8 setting to blur the power lines in the background.

As you can see, this portrait format will give your subject a whole new feeling.

This row of posts seemed interesting to me especially with the different terrains. This is f32 graduated T2. Note the flare under the sun. This was the only photo that did not have a severe flare. Shooting a high subject from a low location places the sun high in the sky. This causes the sun to be brighter because it has not entered the natural low-level haze. In a nutshell, high subjects are essential for clean backgrounds but you must be elevated as well.

I passed by the opposite side of this structure daily. This location is on a busy interstate embankment. Sometimes you aren't fortunate enough to be in a secluded location away from speeding traffic and other hazards.
